Trey Ogunsuyi could be back this week:

Graeme Murty has revealed that striker Trey Ogunsuyi could return for next week’s Premier League 2 game against Aston Villa on Friday.

    I’ve have to say I don’t agree.

Immediately after a game RLB is asked for an estimation of the extent of the injury.

He’ll say ‘Probably around 2/3 weeks’ at which point people start a countdown clock …

… sorry but, unless Rachel Riley is involved, I’m just not that interested <laugh>

It’s far from ideal, bench hasn’t been great of late

Jobe and Hume apparently doubtful tonight.

REGIS Le Bris expects to have Salis Abdul Samed back in his Sunderland squad for this weekend's visit of Swansea City, but Ian Poveda might not feature again before the end of the regular season....

Le Bris said yesterday: "So Leo is available now [to start], we have Enzo but just for a short part of the game for now. Salis [Abdul Samed] trained with us this morning so he should be available for the Swansea game. Step by step, we get two or three players back but of course we have now lost Romaine. If it's possible to manage the core of the group to play one, maybe one and a half games a week this is better but of course it's not always possible.

"With Dan and Dennis, I think they will probably need two weeks more," Le Bris added. "With Ian, I'm not sure. Maybe he will be able to return in early May, but we'll see."

…no complaints if he doesn’t kick another ball for this club. Horrendous signing

Personally I would have preferred him to be fit and firing and putting pressure on Roberts.
    All about opinions.

It was a gamble, at the moment it hasn't worked but, I'd still like it too.

His agent don't think so. It's a family thing.

There has to be some solid logic to the long term contract, we don't do these things for a laugh. Maybe the medicals suggested he might have a few short term issues and be fine afterwards.

He's looked alright when he's played, not drastically worse than Roberts.

Agreed from the tiny bit I've seen. Seems to look to pick a pass first, then dribble if needed. Roberts is the opposite. Could be wrong though.

The contract may be based upon appearances, given his previous record, with a relatively low weekly amount and break clauses, but nobody knows. The club won't get every signing right but at the moment we've probably got more right than wrong. If it doesn't work out the player will be moved on and we will look for a replacement. Hopefully it works. Given our position we have to take more risks with our signings than the top Premier League clubs because quite simply we can't afford to sign the finished article. It's not something that I'm going to pillory the player or the club about.

We haven't seen enough of him to say he's ****e, he's barely played.

I don't think he's been ****e. Not the runny stuff that we used to get anyway.
