Is that right mate? I am not coaching anymore but it used to be stricter for younger players if memory serves. 14 was the protocol, with 5 stages to work through. In settings where top care and monitoring was available you could do it quicker if a doc was signing off, but I thought that was no quicker than 12 and certainly u18s were not allowed quicker returns. Very dangerous things concussions. Big risk of second ones following quickly and causing more long term damage. Hope Mayenda hasnt got one. Where is it from? Really wantes our strongest side out next 2 games.
Lad from what the falk podcast posted it mate he’s got a lot of info on injuries this season, I googled the protocol rules so not sure how reliable they are, I hope he’s got this one wrong mind love watching the lad play
Injury update Cirkin - Already back Ballard - In the squad for QPR Mayenda - In the squad for QPR Mundle - Returns to training ahead of the first leg Alese - Returns to training ahead of the first leg Poveda - could be back but expect no major involvement Huggins - is in part training and RLB hasn’t ruled him out of some involvement in the playoff squads. Abdullahi - focusing on returning for pre season
Love Huggins and absolutely want to see him established in a Sunderland shirt but we’re not desperate. If Cirkn and Hume are on their game, no need to risk him although a cameo in the final might be nice.
Le Bris has said that Romaine Mundle and Niall Huggins participated in the training camp. He said Mundle would not feature against QPR but will be back with the team from Sunday so the winger could play a part in the play-offs. 'Dan has trained well and is available this weekend...'
Alese not involved tomorrow, back for 1st playoff game. Or so I was told off a guy in a florist thisaffa
Again I don’t mind this at all. rest Alese and Mundle ready for this bigguns. apologies for the layout of this post but I’ve been drinking and watching Clearwater credence revival at the fire station
Huggins being available for the playoffs could be big. Seem to remember last time he was out for ages his first game was against a prem side (Fulham?) and he was our MotM.
Feel like sh!t on a stick today like hawayyyyyyyy the lads ! Train at 09:00, down Wetherspoons for breakfast and I’ll be right as rain (hopefully)
