The available evidence is that when Abel has started, it's been no better. Isn't that obvious? I didn't say Keane is better, I said that the evidence shows, which it clearly does, that Sterling's claim "It helps immeasurably if [Abel] isn't sat on the bench in favour of Will Keane." isn't true.
He got the nod at Watford, missed our best chance, set up by Keane incidentally, and a few minutes later we conceded the winning goal.
According to the stats Keane has less shots, less assists and less goals per game than Abel. He also gets dispossessed more often and has more bad touches per game.
So the evidence actually shows Abel has been much better.
