Injuries

We can dream, but certainly crossed my mind. Heard an interview with him the other day where he said he wants to go to a team that he can help and bring on other people, so would certainly be a good fit for us. Just depends how much money he's after. Could we afford him?

Did Phelan work with Berbatov at Man Utd?

He's talking to Swansea, so I assume he's not after daft money.

Hernandez Likely To Be Out For A Month With Groin Injury

Uruguayan international ruled out for around four weeks, but Will Keane must wait for full diagnosis....

Abel Hernandez will be sidelined for around a month with the groin injury he picked up in the weekend win against Southampton.

Hernandez was substituted just nine minutes into the clash with the Saints and scans have suggested a four-week lay-off is now likely for the striker. Hernandez has therefore been withdrawn from international duty with Uruguay.

Meanwhile, further tests are needed before the full extent of Will Keane’s injury problem is known. Keane went down holding his knee during the first half of Sunday’s game and swelling around the damaged area means a full diagnosis is unlikely to come until next week.

Surely any team in the top division here would be able to match a Greek clubs wages what with that countries financial state.
Lets get it done without holdup and not have to go through the agony of all the expectation and then watch him sign for someone else.

He was the highest player in Greek football, he was apparently on £23k a week basic + appearance fees, which isn't that high (relatively speaking).

Yes but in relative terms, everything is much cheaper in Greece so his wages are worth more, it's a much better climate with nice weather and sexy Greek women. We can offer him extortionate cost of living, lots of rain and some fat old cow with a yeast problem from Bransholme.

It seems from that interview link that the latter is his preferred choice.
