You're still wrong.

We have been playing 3-5-2. The numbers 5, 4 and 6 are Chester, Bruce and Davies, our three centre-backs. 27 and 11 are Elmohamady and Brady, our wing-backs.

Clearly, what's confusing you is the fact that Elmo is very far forward whilst Brady is much deeper, one assumes? This is simply because Liverpool's right-winger, Raheem Sterling, is a very dangerous player. As such, Brady was largely man-marking him at Anfield (and did a good job in doing so) and couldn't get forward as often as he'd like due to the threat posed by Sterling. Whereas, on our right Elmo was encouraged to venture forward as much as possible. A further consequence of this, is Chester (5) drifting out towards the full-back position to cover Elmo, hence why you must have assumed he was playing right-back, which he wasn't.

I hope this helps, but I can assure you we play 3-5-2 (you could argue 3-5-1-1 whilst Jela is out injured), regardless of what you may interpret from a heat map.

Erm...you do realise that all you said above simply means that you set out to field 3-5-1-1 but then adapted to Liverpool's tactics and ended up fielding 4-4-1-1. The fact that there were 3 players who a predominantly centre backs on the pitch does not necessarily mean that 3-5-2 / 3-5-1-1 is being played - as the average position map shows

The other option is that you are playing 3-5-2 and therefore your players are not fulfilling instructions. But I think they deserve more credit than that

As your fellow supporter pointed out, by that token were you playing 2-5-1-2 last season? Or did your players not fulfill their instructions?

Heat maps only show so much, follow them rigidly and you'll start thinking Manuel Neuer is a holding midfielder.

We play 3-5-2, and we played 3-5-2 at Anfield. The only difference being Sterling pegged one of our wingbacks back, it's really not that unusual.

I'm not sure why Hull fans are so confident of a win, considering the form we're in. They may win, but that would not be an expected result.

Hardly a shock that Hull think their team can win...most fans do that. And they have had some good results and quite rightly think their form may be on the up. This team isn't relegation fodder and they are at home. I think we will do well overall come the end of the season, but not impossible for us to lose any particular game. I'm going for a close win or a draw, but then I'm a Saints fan.

Graziano is on Football Focus later talking about dancing I believe!

Chappers and fellow experts were talking about Him and Saints last night on Friday Night Sport on Radio5, while doing the match previews. According to them he's the best looking bloke in the Premier League and they don't expect any competition for him unless Christiano Ronaldo returns. They also mentioned Football Focus on today.

Yeah, a lot of other team's fans think we're overestimating our team, but it seem to me it has come to that that they are actually underestimating us. Long may it continue.

To be fair, most of our own fans were underestimating Saints even with a few games under our belt. I thought I had them sussed pretty much from the start [top 6-8], but I think I've underestimated how good they are, or might be if they keep this up.

Getting wins away at good clubs like Hull are what it is all about. To a certain extent you can even lose to the very biggest teams and still be up there if you're picking up all those easily dropped points.

Indeed! Comments like Merson's (Hull would be second with Pelle - ignoring our better defence and goals from midfield)

Hull have got most of their results this season from scoring 2 goals in a match. We have only conceded 2 goals in a match on two occasions so far. Once was the first game (added a defender since then and first game of a largely new team), and the other in the week when the ref decided to let them switch to rugby for the second half

It will be tough game but we should have a good chance
