We've won our last four matches against them our last loss an away 5-0 defeat back in March 2008. Hull have made a good start to the season and currently sit 10th with 11 points from 9 games. I really rate Steve Bruce and he's built a strong squad at Hull so this will be a tough match. Huddleston and Livermore run their midfield and they have good options up front. They have a few injuries but have shown on their day they are a match for anyone. What can we say about Saints. 9 wins in 10 matches and confidence can never have been higher. Hopefullly last nights match hasnt taken its toll and Ron will have pretty much a full squad to choose from with Mane the only doubt. I expect us to start with Fraser Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Morgan Cork Davis Long Pelle Tadic Suibs KD Targett Gardos Reed Vic Mayuka Mane Good to see Shane break his duck last night and hopefully the ex player hex will work in our favour on Saturday. I'm going 3-1 Saints. COYR!
Its not small on my screen Tom. Maybe its my work system again. If its a problem I'll change it when I get home unless a mod can. Chilco?
Really up for this one. Would see a draw as a very good result by my word with stuff we have been playing recently I fancy ourselves to get another win.
I am loving our recent form and never want it to end but would be more than happy with a draw from this one. I keep pinching myself after every win, the wife is worried i'm self harming i've done so much damage.
That was a needless yellow last night for Pelle but with Long breaking his duck and J Rod on his way back I'm less worried than a couple of weeks ago. Think the team pretty much picks itself with the only real debate around Long or Mane and Cork or Wanyama. Need to keep players fresh now - that's the challenge with a small squad.
It's been a great season so far, but we've only played 9 matches, so it's important to continue picking points from games like this if we hope to end high on the table. An away draw is always a good result, but I think we got what it takes to get all three points. Steve Bruce bought well this summer, but their starting eleven still looks a bit same as last year, with the exception of Ben Arfa. I think our defence is too good for their attack, and our attack is too good for their defence.
I think I'd rather Pellè got booked against Hull and missed the Leicester game, than in a week or so's time be out. Interesting question really. Would you rather lose him for a winnable home game, or a tough away game somewhere like Old Trafford or the Bridge?
If he can just hold from being booked until 31st December he won't get suspended at all. http://www.thefa.com/News/governance/2009/aug/RedCardUpdate
Really confident here. Hull haven't won for a few (tough games, granted) and we're in the winning habit. Would expect Mane to start because any team who play 3-5-2 can be vulnerable down the sides. We outclassed them twice last season and expect us to do so again. Beyond that, I hope Bruce continues to do a great job there - very likeable club and manager.
We've won 9 of our last 10, we're scoring for fun and conceding very few, yet i'd be more than happy with a draw in this one. Does that make any sense?
