Somebody tell me how you can make money by texting when you're at the ground then ?

A couple of seasons ago I had a small accumulator of around five or six matches. They were all winning after around 70 mins.... One of which was us at home... Can't remember the opposition..... Anyway they got awarded a penalty in front of us at the North stand.....I had my phone on the betting screen open and pressed cash out before the betting was suspended and they scored the penalty...... So there is a slight delay but you'd have to be bloody quick to take advantage.... There would have to be someone poised on a PC with a bet ready to place i.e. team to score next and if a pen is awarded text them immediately and try to beat that delay......ummmm hang on

The influence of betting companies on the game is getting pernicious. I think that the bookies are behind the advent of VAR - it doesn’t favour fans to get decisions “right” but it does favour those with money riding on decisions.

And now this spooky bullshit. Frankly, if people texting in the ground can game the live betting system then good luck to them - bookies need to sort their **** at their end, not send bullying ****s into football grounds. Utter disgrace.

I’m not sure it does. Bookies lose when underdogs win. If anything, VAR is going to make that much more likely.

Good luck to anybody who can take advantage of that , I would be more likely to **** it up trying to
quickly cash out or whatever

Presumably though if some companies are employing security in the ground to look at this they aren't bothered about a small personal bet

Bookies never lose. That is the point of making a book. When underdogs win they make less but are still in front because of the money taken on the favourites. Odds are based on the amount of money placed not some random figure plucked out of the air.

I can’t believe humberside gave him airtime, if rather have listened to Jeff give us his opinion on a game he never went to
I caught the arse end of his rant...He was going on about the park been untidy so ... Maybe he was off to see 'The Wombles'...on their world tour...

Eh?

When underdogs win, bookies typically make more money on that particular book.

Don’t know why I put less.<doh> They always say what it cost them to payout when it happens, like Leicester. They don’t quote the considerably more they took on the favourites who fell by the wayside.
