It was ridiculous quoting over 10k - last night was probably the lowest league attendance for a match at the KC.
Even the official figure is the lowest I believe. Previously it was Brentford in December at officially 10,530 and before that 11,308 against Bury in League 2.

Even based on the official attendance figure, you need to go back to when we played Boston United at Boothferry Park in 2002 for a lower league attendance.
Or if it had been for an FC game 'a near capacity crowd'.
We, and the local media wallow in attracting low crowds, but the eggchasers talk their crowds up.
It was a poor crowd last night by recent standards but what do we expect ? Was anyone shocked by it ?
Did the club make any attempts at all to draw a few fans back by offering kids for a quid etc ?
We know the answer and last night's attendance was the result of that and of us dropping off the pace for a play off place.
Good result last night, but we made hard work of it in the second half.

Three points on the back of such a hammering was a great result and however it was achieved it is still a great result. The lack of any concessions continues to bite deeply and it is hard to understand why the owners can’t give away a few free tickets to school kids. Not everyone can afford a silver spoon to suck on as they can. Daft talk of playoffs in the fail again but it’s only ever about the next three points. Hard battle last night won with a really good goal. Nige will have every right to be pleased about that.
According to someone texting SportsTalk it was because we have two games this week. Surprise they didn't say it was because the next day was a school day, even though hardly any kids go now. These things don't seem to affect other clubs. Look at Ipswich's crowds in comparison whilst they are having a far worse season. Maybe they have one of those out of date, old fashioned pricing structures. No doubt if it was last week they would have said it was because it was because it was the half term holidays.
No mention of the real reasons most are staying away.

Yeah I thought that. In the context of the game with a quiet crowd he got away with it, but if everyone went mental and Irvine rolled around that's a clear red. It was a mental challenge out of absolutely nowhere, both feet up and straight through him.
Last night was embarrassingly empty. Agree above let kids in for a quid or give grass roots clubs free tickets. Anything to avoid the sea of empty seats.
Kids for a quid ? They don't even think kids should get in for less than adults
Better than an empty stadium. I know what they think and they clearly know they are wrong, they just won’t admit it.

Even the academy kids don’t get tickets and they train in the airco on a Tuesday and would of put some numbers on the gate as would giving the tigers trust tickets to give out, charge the adult who accompanied the child and it boosts the crowd not massively but in their world another 10000 on the gate as they don’t seem to be able to do maths.
Can’t believe the academy kids don’t get tickets. My nephew is in the Bristol City academy and they get tickets for home games. If business likes a strap line the Kid for a Quid must be right up there. Unfortunately our strap line is more like Knob with a Gob.
