There's some crazy revisionism from some people about Walter. We weren't just struggling or not quite playing the right style. We were losing every game, we were obviously not going to stop losing until he was gone, and the Sheffield Wednesday performance in his final game was that of a side completely and utterly lost and defeated.

Since then, players have said that they didn't know what the plan was or what each other's roles were, and Baz in the podcast today talked about the training sessions lacking intensity compared to what players were used to. He was a disaster, and the more you hear about him the worse it sounds.

We maybe could have. If we'd done that and lost the ball that way and the goal came from that then people would be saying why go to the corner at 0-0, show some bravery, going for the corner hardly ever works, etc. It's a gamble either way to some extent. I have more of an issue with what came immediately after that decision.[/QUOT Theres an old saying a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. What is more of an issue for you.

Training lacking intensity but players not happy about double sessions and no days off for three weeks…

Baz talks a lot of crap.

If Sellés can do what Röhl did with Wednesday last season, I’ll be happy. I think this club’s problems go far beyond who the coach is though. The common problem has been Acun.

We have more points than they did at this stage of the season, so that’s a positive start.

They managed to go on and get 34 points in their remaining games, which was more than city did. Really impressive that.

Yep dead easy choosing competent straight directors , managers and them being able to choose the right sort of player . I’ll apply the next time the job becomes vacant .

Was talking to a Wednesday fan the other day. He would swap owners any day.

Incidentally their season passes for 2025/2026 have been on sale. If you buy by tomorrow their Kop End is £460 for adults and £560 down the side. That goes up to £530 and £620 in the second phase. There is a third phase where it is even higher. Their best stand is over £700 if bought by tomorrow.
Wonder how many we would sell at those prices? Especially if you have to buy them by 3rd January for the cheapest prices? Even the second phase ones will be bought before you are certain of which division you will be in.

The things is, it will be over subscribed by 100,000 on the first phase...

Get sick of this crap about Wednesday. My dislike of Wednesday is on a par with that of my dislike of TWS but they have a better fanbase than us. They were taking far more away in League 1 than any team in the Championship apart from Leeds.
The thing is they sell more tickets at those prices than we do at far lower ones. How many would fork out £460 for North Stand or South Stand or £530 for East Stand by January 3rd for the following season?

Just back from Saigon. I stayed up and watched the game 12.30am start here, 2.30am finish, then immediately left to drive to Saigon. So having no sleep that night and then with the end to the game didn't help my mood, I can tell you.

Boro bossed the game for the most part, though I can also enjoy a good defensive performance, and generally I thought we handled the game well against a better side. I was pleased to see how Selles set up the team defensively particularly in the 2nd half, it was just a pity they had a lapse of concentration and lack of effort in one case, to see the game out and get a point.

Pandur/Alzate had good games, it was a game too far for Puerta unfortunately, Pedro had some nice moment, unfortunately not in an attacking sense.

Let's hope we can get something from the Leeds game, unlikely, but one never knows.

I thought Puerta was pretty good?
