A bridge over a street is going to take 5 years to build. This bridge took 6 years. Hadrian's Wall took 7 years.

The Golden Gate Bridge took 4 years and 4 months and was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

One would assume that the 2025 finish refers to all roadworks etc etc, not just the bridge which will hopefully be finished earlier? If not **** me.
The bridge is supposed to take about eight months, that board in the photograph relates to the major road works, not the footbridge.
I walked through there a few months ago which was the first time in about 20 years, and I was shocked how run down it looked compared to 20 years earlier.
Unfortunately OLM it still looks a lot better than Hull, I was there last week.
