On present form... the LONGER the better!!!![]()
Didn't realise the Muppets were on tonight!
Its time to make some music, its time to light the lights, its time to get things started on the colu show tonight.
On present form... the LONGER the better!!!![]()
Perhaps the "mighty U's" chief spokesperson <FACT> would like to do our match day thread for tomorrow, to bring about a change in our (short-term) misfortunes?
I'll buy you a panda pop - your choice of flavour, if you oblige, Miguel![]()

Keep squawking budgerigar-dave, but the mighty U's will have the last laugh as you plummet down the leagues

I really fail to see how anybody of the yellow and green persuasion can disagree with a single word of this. It's pretty much the stark reality of where we're at as a team. Its the dire performances, lack of perceived effort, terrible defending, playing a lone striker with no support for him, same tactics every week, players seemingly being frozen out, favourites always starting etc etc. I can, like most fans, take and accept a defeat if the team has shown and put in effort, and the manager has tried to change things that aren't working, I don't see that, so I'm extremely disappointed with the manager
There'll ALWAYS be your team for us to fall onto, and bounce back up again!![]()
- we will DESTROY the Turnip Taliban and Carrot Road will be stuck in the doldrums for generations to come!!

Fair comment Dave and I have to say that whilst I only go to home games, I'm more inclined to agree with ILD's match summary. There seems to be a culture on here for laying the blame totally at his feet. I know I don't attend matches but the reports from you and from RiverEndRick always tend to contradict each other.
Football today is all about the money, everyone wants instant success or the long knives will be out for the manager, at the end of the day, quick fire changes of management solve nothing. Ask dirty Leeds!

I used to sit behind the dugout when Lambert was manager, and I remember a game where we were struggling after about 15 minutes, he was going apoplectic at a couple of players who were ignoring his shouts, in the end he called them over and quite loudly told them...If you don't do what I'm telling you you're flucking well coming off! One of them was subbed! Lambert was excellent at making changes quickly and effectively if things weren't going to plan, this manager doesn't!
As to quick fire changes, i wonder what the Leicester supporters would make of that last season? I have quoted this before, Cardiff, Leeds, Villa, Derby to name a few have changed managers and its been successful. In fact if we lose on Saturday and Villa win they will only be 2 points behind us. Not bad for a quick fix!
Yes, I expect it can, but I would prefer to pay a little more for something such as Bishop's Farewell.£5 gets me 2 pints in my local!

And yes, I feel that money and the desire for instant success has RUINED football, but unfortunately, there's no going back.
Can't really argue with any of that ILD

Edit - thanks colu_mike, I fully expect to be back at the bookies around 5pm tomorrow evening to collect my winnings!!![]()
Abbot reserve £2:50 a pint. 6.5abv.
Wherry is £3:00.Therein lies the problem - I DON'T like Greene King beers!!!
My favourite tipple when in UK, though hard to find in Lincolnshire. Wherry, that is.
It's OK, but prefer Ghost Ship from Adnams.Wherry is £3:00.

I used to enjoy Broadside until about 3 years ago and then the pale ales (almost lager colour) started to appear and I have to admit that I prefer those.Just don't get the Pale Ale thing, especially when Adnams do "Broadside".

I'm the same as you, squire. Not so much Ghost Ship, that's way too hoppy for me, I need 2 pints of water after 1 pint of that! Love Once Bittern, Sundew, Bure Gold, all from Woodfordes, but also Broadland Sunrise and Swallowtail, from Humpty Dumpty in Reedham are my joint faves (of local options)used to enjoy Broadside until about 3 years ago and then the pale ales (almost lager colour) started to appear and I have to admit that I prefer those.

And from recent articles in local press, none of the journalists seem to be fooled by these shallow words of 'togetherness' oft spouted - but never visible between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.Not one of the comments agree with him!!!!!

This was from Nov 22nd, but absolutely nothing has changed since then - apart from Ed Balls endorsing the board's belief in AN's ability to sort it all out. Based on what, exactly?
The cushy little world of status quo, is all I can assume.
As the Hues Corporation once said "Don't rock the boat baby"!

And none of the fans are being fooled by AN's words either.
Even if by some fluke, AN was to turn our fortunes round over the next few games or whenever, I'd still rather we replaced him.
He mentions the fact that the younger players are getting their chance, but only ever on the bench and perhaps a scant few minutes towards the end of a game.
Why not play them from the start and if they do make a mistake, it can't be any worse than the likes of Martin seem to make in almost every other game????
