Like most on here, I'm concerned about the recent run of results but I'm not fully convinced that all the fault lies with Alex Neil. Having been at the QPR match, I'm not convinced that he has lost the players or the fans, at least those that travel to away games. Sitting, or standing most of the time with that fervid bunch of fans gave me a different perspective on what it's all about. The singing started long before the match started and it went on throughout. There was a conviction and a confidence that our team was out there on the pitch and we were there to support them. No ifs and buts, just singing and supporting the team and our club. Even after we went 2 goals down the response was an immediate "we're going to win 3-2" without any doubt or hesitation. For me it was a confirmation of what being a supporter is all about. I look now at what's been written above and find it difficult to conceive what has been said. There's talk about players' egos being the problem, but I didn't see that on the pitch. Social media seems to have given a license to expressing egotistical opinions without any argument to support them, culminating in DD's remark above. You may not like him, or his politics, but Ed Balls is human, as are AN and the board. It may come to changing the manager sometime soon, but if it does it won't be because of what is said on here.

    Questions to Rick ?
    A. Did you go to the QPR match ?
    B. Did we win 3-2 ?
    C. Are you aware that the "not human" quote of the week is just another in a long line of hilarious comments made on here by our resident troll master general ? .
    (Not me)
    D. Have you mentioned that you went to Loftus Road last week ?
    E. Do you think Balls is more concerned with his ball hugging trousers and cha cha chas than his football team ?
    F. Is it possible to clap without being happy ?

If you read what I said you'd know that I was at the QPR match and I did sing and I did clap our players.

Just to confirm you were in attendance on Saturday ?.
You have only mentioned it in every post since .<laugh>
Now imagine you do that every week and leave dejected by your team on a regular basis ?
Do you think over time you may become as cynical as our season ticket holders ?

I usually go to the London away games and so far I have only been to Ipswich away .
I was in London Saturday but couldn't put myself through a long ride on the central line as 'my team' have been terrible .
Ironically it is our team that gives opposition fans hope that they can claw back a losing scoreline and win this season as we have blown leads in most of our games .
We will lose again at Derby .

Thanks very much Rick for such a positive post amidst all the doom and gloom that others have been posting (myself included!!) and I'll be putting a bet on a Norwich win tomorrow and who knows - we COULD even go on another winning run!!!!. <ok>

Edit - I see Rooney has answered his critics in the best way possible ............

I get the feeling that even if we win allour remaining games and get promoted as champions, there are still some that will want AN out! <grr>

There seems to be a culture on here for laying the blame totally at his feet. I know I don't attend matches but the reports from you and from RiverEndRick always tend to contradict each other.

Football today is all about the money, everyone wants instant success or the long knives will be out for the manager, at the end of the day, quick fire changes of management solve nothing. Ask dirty Leeds!

Its the dire performances, lack of perceived effort, terrible defending, playing a lone striker with no support for him, same tactics every week, players seemingly being frozen out, favourites always starting etc etc. I can, like most fans, take and accept a defeat if the team has shown and put in effort, and the manager has tried to change things that aren't working, I don't see that, so I'm extremely disappointed with the manager who seems to have lost his way not only this season but most of last season as well.
I used to sit behind the dugout when Lambert was manager, and I remember a game where we were struggling after about 15 minutes, he was going apoplectic at a couple of players who were ignoring his shouts, in the end he called them over and quite loudly told them...If you don't do what I'm telling you you're flucking well coming off! One of them was subbed! Lambert was excellent at making changes quickly and effectively if things weren't going to plan, this manager doesn't!

As to quick fire changes, i wonder what the Leicester supporters would make of that last season? I have quoted this before, Cardiff, Leeds, Villa, Derby to name a few have changed managers and its been successful. In fact if we lose on Saturday and Villa win they will only be 2 points behind us. Not bad for a quick fix!

Perhaps the "mighty U's" chief spokesperson <FACT> would like to do our match day thread for tomorrow, to bring about a change in our (short-term) misfortunes? :emoticon-0112-wonde
I'll buy you a panda pop - your choice of flavour, if you oblige, Miguel <ok>
