That's bob on Den, I'm heading to The States in May and was in Cuba last year.
For anyone going to the US shortly, and if you haven't already got your ESTA , I'd recommend looking at the task now, because now you need to download the photo on your passport with your application. For those of us who ain't that savvy, it's a tricky job. Luckily, my Travel agent did mine.

I'd second that.

I got a new ESTA in December and I couldn't get it to accept a scanned of the photo page.

I logged in on my phone in the end and used the camera which worked a treat.

Tbf you actually said anyone who had been to Cuba was banned from entering the US, which is a bit different.

I’m still amazed the embassy visit is needed though, there must be thousands of people in that position you’d think.
Well ye you are banned unless you get it sorted with the embassy
Gotta bring him a box of choccys anarl

So what they ask at the interview and how long is the interview
So I can update my friend

Long long time ago that I went to the embassy, mid 80's. As I remember, purpose of visit, flight times there and back, where you are staying, have you been refused a visa before. The second time I went it was all done through work, lot easier.

How overweight are you?
How much more overweight would you like to be?
Have you ever eaten a vegetable?
Do you agree that cheese should come in a tube?
Can you spell or do you get your -re and your -er mixed up constantly?
How many flags do you have in your front yard?
What is ‘football’?

Standard stuff really

Who won the World Series in 1940?
Do you admire Adolf Hitler?
Have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?

Just in case they are still using their old questions.

A one-week warning has been issued to anybody who owns a UK passport - ahead of renewal fees being hiked massively. The prices will rise by 9 per cent next Thursday (February 2).

The cost of replacing an expired passport online is set to increase by £7 to £82.50. The price for kids will increase by £4.50, from the current £49 to £53.50, according to the government.

I’ve also had several enjoyable weekends there…..all of Eastern Europe is fine. Riga, Bucharest etc etc
The women are stunning. Different league to our girls
Bucharest? Never heard of anyone going there
Recommend?

Thinking a bit more about this, you may want to consider Bratislava and Budapest. Still east but easier than Bucharest.
