Perhaps Hernandez got cold feet at the thought of a ball coming to him on the floor all the time at Villa?
Phelan OUT
Not sure we'll ever find out exactly what went on - but I don't think they trusted Brucie to spend wisely
And yet they then went and signed the players Bruce was looking at anyway??
the point is they placed their trust in Bruce but by the time he left that trust had gone - just look at the previous windows when Dio and Powell came in - both were poor signings at the time as far as injuries were concerned
No, the point is that the Allams don't want to put money in, but the new owners are happy to. That's all there is to it.
Sounds to me, that he only wanted to go if it was for a stupid amount of wages.Just caught a few minutes of Talksport whilst making a brew.........
Sounded like Ray Parlour saying Hull have an unhappy player in Hernandez........
Villa offered him £75K a week now, and £125K a week if they got promoted this season.
Hernandez and his agent said they wanted £125K a week now, and £175K a week in the Premier, plus a £3m signing on fee.
Sounded like Parlour??? knew his agent, or knew someone involved

Much though I like Hernandez if what Parlour says is correct that is one seriously deluded player and agent if they were talking those sort of numbers .. unless of course it was a case of you'll have to make it worth my while to play in the Championship again for another season

TBH I wouldn't be surprised with how their now owner seems to think he can buy anything he wants in a footballing sense.Sounds like bollocks to me.
Most of Villa's players had relegation clauses and even when they were in Premier League their best paid players (N'Zogbia and Richards) were on £50k, there's no way they're offering £75k a week after relegation.
The way he conducts his business is going to upset a few club owners over the coming season's.TBH I wouldn't be surprised with how their now owner seems to think he can buy anything he wants in a footballing sense.
Think your views may be a little miss guided. No, the point is that the Allams don't want to put money in, but the new owners are happy to. That's all there is to it.

it was well reported the Allams set a budget of around £16m - £18 for Bruce.
Bruce left, a new bid came in and dealings put on hold.
a "joint" agreement was reached as both parties knew the club needed signings or the club's current value and likelyhood to stay in premiership was in doubt.
Out net transfer outlay is £13.5m, forgive my maths but isn't that less then what the Allams were going to put in???
The new owners are not "happy to put money into the club", why would they, they don't own the club yet!!!!
