Here we go again...

I've always been an idiot but he made the statement. No further application will be made. Perhaps you'd like to point out the caveats he introduced when making that statement allowing him to make a further application. I don't recall him saying no further application unless the panel says I must make a new application.

You're not taking into account that Strov has on more than one occasion stated his point in capital letters. I think he even went to the effort of emboldening it at one point.

It may look like nonsense but if he posts in capitals then HE IS CORRECT END OF.

FACT.

Anyone in favour of Hull Tigers isn't a real fan and shouldn't be going to watch Hull city AFC, because that is not the club that they want to support. Just people who have fallen under his spell of throwing money at the club. Rather go down and kill of this ridiculous idea.

In the grand scheme of things, it means **** all..

BOYCOTTT games!

And yet you voted Yes to Hull Tigers in the poll???

What's telling in the debate this morning is how obvious some people's desire & passion for Premier League football is greater than their desire & passion for the club.

Everybody, on both sides of the argument, believe there is no genuine business reasoning behind changing the name of the club. Everybody is aware that Assem Allam has repeatedly told lies, made threats & gone back on his word. Everybody believes that "Hull Tigers" is a ****ing stupid name. Everybody is aware that Assem Allam's real reason for wanting to change the club's name is solely because of his unhealthy & obsessive hatred of Hull City Council which evolved from him not getting his own way when wanting to purchase the stadium & surrounding land. Everybody knows that remaining in the Premier League is not dependent on us changing our name to "Hull Tigers". Everybody knows that there is no increased sponsorship lying in wait, to be unveiled as soon as the name changes. Everybody knows that "Hull Tigers" will not attract more foreign support. Everybody knows that suggesting Far Eastern football fans will support "Hull Tigers" because they have a "tiger" in their name is patronising, ungracious & somewhat racist. Everybody is well aware that changing the club's name will bring nothing but ridicule to our gates. Everybody knows changing the name will not increase income. Everybody knows that rebranding a business when it's generating more money than at any other time in it's history whilst also in it's most successful period is a ****ing stupid idea.

All that's left is for the last few hangers, who know all of the above, to start to accept it. There's no need to worry about what you value most, you can still have your Premier League as Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers.

Be careful Strov might offer you out at the usual car park <laugh>

So you're sticking to the name calling and online ranting rather than doing anything?

Oh I'm sure you're already firing up the angry emails to the FA but are any of you actually prepared to do something tangible and real such as boycotting or buying?

No?

<laugh> bunch of jokers.

I already have mate.
Once he advised he was dropping CITY from the name and he put the price up to £500 a pass then I didn't renew.
I now go to the cheap matches (£13.30) and only LESTER from the dearer matches and only cause relatives were going due to it being a Xmas match.
I do not buy anything from the club.
I went to QPR away (first match) and that's it. But that money went to them and not Allam.
The way Allam is going I think it will be less matches next year for me.

The club has had its heart ripped out by one man....Mr Assem Allam

NEWS: Assem Allam makes second name change application

Assem and Ehab Allam have chosen today, All Fools’ Day, to notify the FA of their intent to submit a second application to change Hull City AFC’s name as part of their ongoing obsession with Hull City Council. Last month, while savaging the first application and the accompanying arrogance and incompetence of the Allams, a Football Association Tribunal reaffirmed that we remain Hull City, “set aside” a previous decision and invited the club to make a “new application“. Not a re-evaluation of the first, whose outcome was known. A new, second application.

Here’s Assem Allam promisingly unequivocally that there would be no second application:
You must log in or register to see media

Contrast that unambiguous statement with what this increasingly degenerate regime has said today.

We will fight this, and we will win, again. Allam will lose again, and he will lose with the whole world knowing that he is a man without honour whose word means absolutely nothing.

BOYCOTTT games!

Doesn't bother me if he went back on his word. He gave it and if his word doesn't mean anything to him why should it mean anything to me?

There are other options then boycotting games.

If we become Hull Tigers then I'll save over a £1,000 a year. Hopefully within a short period of time there'll be another Hull City playing in Hull or Dunswell and they'll be welcome to my money.

After 170+ entries (as I type), it looks like this thread will run and run ... again. No one is going to persuade anyone else to change their views and the petty posturing and childish offers to fisticuffs behind the bike sheds are laughable, if they weren't downright inexcusable! No matter what anyone says on here, if an application (new or otherwise) or a letter of intent has been submitted, then that's done.

People on here may email or lobby or tweet the FA - that is fine. Some may lobby against or some may lobby in favour - again that's fine. There are those who take great delight in fanning the flames of rancour; maybe they get a kick out of it but reading page after page of the same stuff is like Groundhog Day.

I am not belittling the subject but I am just sick of all the drivel I am reading. Maybe you think this is even greater drivel; maybe it is. So today, an application has been made. There may several weeks before anyone gets a definitive answer. In the meantime, can we call a moratorium on the subject?

Not while Lambrettaman is a mod!

Oh and if your comment about fisticuffs refers to me, I haven't suggested any such thing. I just think calling someone a bastard should be done face to face rather than on a message board .

It's fairly obvious which threads are about the name change, if you don't want to read them, then don't, it's not compulsory.

There's no way that people are going to ignore the topic, for many it's the single most important issue the club faces.
