Yeah all relative with Cowie & Murray leagues weren't awash with obscene amounts of money but they still wouldn't support managers hence our constant lack of big money buys (both our local neighbours seemed to find the cash) Mic Mac was left to survive in premier league with most of the over performing lower league players who took us from the championship. Peter Reid was not supported with big cash especially when we were near the top of premier league. Big money was spent when Drummaville then Short appeared. Regardless, right now we are floundering and need action instead of short thrift.Everything is relative though isn't it. Premier League football has never been so lucrative, and we crashed out with crippling debts due to Elis Short's incompetence.
Under the watch of Cowie and Murray the money wasn't there, so comparisons with then and now are unfair.
a defeat will heap pressure on the team for the Bolton game and that is a worry, If we lose the next two, things will look very bad indeed, but even then if we are looking up for it, I would still tick with the manager, at least up to Xmas and if we are out of the bottom three by then let him carry on.
