We simply didn’t have any quality at all that’s the problem. Apart from our right back in my view.
And to be fair bucky....even he has looked poor imo!!

I would have preferred to see an evolution rather than a revolution and sign half a dozen players to strengthen key areas then do the same again in January. Some of the players we’ve signed are no better than some of the ones we let go.
So you will be expecting to struggle at every away game you play this season? It's just pretty much every team in this league has their pitch width close to burtons and not anywhere near your size.Nuggets, i actually think we will fair better against the better sides, a bit more time and space for us to play. That pitch today looked tiny, no width, so compact and didn't suit us!

Most teams are between 65 and 68 metres wide. I know Sunderlands is 68. That's standard. Every premier league teams pitch is between 67 and 68 metres wide. Ipswichs pitch width is 75 metres.
Can you honestly say there are about 12 players that we should have kept from last season? Coz with your six, that still only makes 18, which is not enough!! I despair coz there isn't 3 players i would have kept, zero desire, little ability!!

Blimey. There’s good intel! You learn something new everyday! So you will be expecting to struggle at every away game you play this season? It's just pretty much every team in this league has their pitch width close to burtons and not anywhere near your size.

That's my point. I understand you widening the pitch to such an extent if it will give you an advantage over other teams as we aren't used to playing on pitches that size but, if you can't handle the drop to the smaller pitches then maybe that needs looked at. Unless you play two home games in a row, your players will be playing on a markedly different pitch size every game. That's going to be harder to get into and maintain momentum, imo.Yep maybe, it will take some getting used to but in time...... still win most of our home games and pick up 5 wins away....we will be there or there abouts
Of the players I would have kept that have gone - Edwards, Bish, Lankester, Downes and I think we’ve gone a bit OTT with the forward options without signing anybody that will strike fear into the opposition. Two prolific goal scorers would have done more damage than six average ones.
Smart arse? I haven't attempted to be a 'smart arse' on any posts. Also Mr smart arse, i think you will find Burtons pitch is probably one of the smallest but then i could be wrong and I'm sure you will go spend a few hours trying to find out!
As i said, you obviously know f all about how poorly Ipswich has been run and how bad the performances have been over the last few seasons, if not...you would have understood why the need for massive changes, from top to bottom!!

I'm just trying to have a chat. All the other posters on here seem reasonable. You just come across as an immature emotional mess. Get a grip of yourself.
Have we widened it to such an extent then don't look any different to normal to me
