I think Sheffield Wednesday look incredibly strong for this division and I fully expect them to be fighting it out for automatic promotion.
Pity we couldn't win the game today but there are signs of it coming together. Defence obviously needs some attention and we all know that.
Yeah that's the reality check for some on here. There are at least half a dozen stronger sides than Town in this division.

After the full rebuild this summer and doing the transfer business for Paul Cook I don't think the owners will be looking to replace him. They've even come out and said that it may take a couple of years to earn promotion so please stop with all this ridiculous talk of Cook being gone in few weeks!
This is a brand new ITFC and promotion is not expected this season so just enjoy the ride as we improve during the season.
I didn't realise you signed that many. Not many clubs could sign that many new players in a transfer window and expect promotion, that'll take a while to come together properly. You would have been better adding 4 or 5 quality players to what you already had.

I don’t think they will sack him yet, but they must be having doubts already. I know they have said they will back him but if we don’t hit some form by the end of September I think he’ll be axed.
Kinda shows what you know about ITFC mate, no offence but the last few seasons....not one player has played for the badge, the whole team has been a disgrace and needed getting rid of!! Now either do your homework or run along!
By the lottery of the play offs. We can have a piss poor start and scrape into the play offs but I’m not a fan of leaving it up to luck.

He also needs ‘his’ first choice defence out on the pitch and so far he’s only had 1 of the four ie kvy. And a new defence takes time. I’m not getting ‘judgy’ (see what I did their Spanish?) until after the window closes at Xmas as I expect our top targets might not arrive until then and I don’t want panic buys in the interim. As long as we stick to playing progressive attacking football and trying to win (which is All I ever wanted even under MM) I’m happy. I DO NOT want to go back to eeking out draws and nicking wins playing the **** we had in the last 10 years.
Our main hope for this season is to splash the cash and bring in a marquee experienced central defender to play alongside Woolfy, a CDM and a proven #9. We have an incredible weak spine at the moment.

So the solution is....shoulda stuck with the idiots from last season?

We simply didn’t have any quality at all that’s the problem. Apart from our right back in my view.
I would have preferred to see an evolution rather than a revolution and sign half a dozen players to strengthen key areas then do the same again in January. Some of the players we’ve signed are no better than some of the ones we let go.
