I did! And there's a very good reason for that. I don't just award a like for things I agree with. Sometimes it's for humour, sometimes I like a single comment out of many that I don't like, sometimes an unexpected comment makes me think hard, sometimes I learn something I didn't know or realise. I liked that post because of your openness transparency & honesty. And possibly because I still feel terrific sympathy for the unfair way (imo) you were treated after this debacle. One of my pet bugbears, as I've often stated on here is opinion being presented as fact - and that's what you were being subjected to.You clicked the like button on my post [HASHTAG]#204[/HASHTAG] where I stated the details of the PM along with my thoughts.
Maybe we need some super super mods to oversee the super mods and mods and then one super duper mod over the whole lot. Though on second thoughts, then we have more hierarchy than us plebs so we might need to unban some of the banned plebs to balance the numbersI did! And there's a very good reason for that. Having said all that, let me post in a couple of lines from [HASHTAG]#204[/HASHTAG]:
On the pm group where we await the response of brb and or Minxy, the three admins have not said a word against or in favour of lifting the ban, zero influence, just purely asking the question, how does it work? Does brb get a say, does he leave it up to us three? An invitation for his input.
The above is exactly the opposite of what I had hoped. I would have hoped that our Mods would have made a decision for our board, and as a courtesy PM'd the supermods for their approval, rejection, or debate (if it indeed is required to copy them). Another reason might be that the Mods can't agree on the way forward & use the supermods as counsel to work out the best way forward. Surely the supermods are only involved because they have access to the ban on/off switch which board Mods don't, which is understandable if a board Mod is an erratic maverick, for example.

Glory bullshit? NeverLet's not forget the supermods had more issues with glory than any poster on the site I believe was the quote. They might not want the bullshit that comes with him back.

I didn't know there was basic training in liking the scots and the welsh, maybe a few of us can enrolPersonally I've always got on with the Scots more than the Welsh, even when I was doing basic training, I always got on with the Northern English than the Southerners.![]()

Don't believe Clive was ever a Leeds fan, more of a TC second account if you ask me.

would like to see him back on. Without this site, all he’s got in life is dancing to soft cell in his y-fronts in a darkened room.

Surely the only "issues" supermods could of had was because of the "report" button.
Was it being used by one or several people to alert supermods?
I spoke with pikeyboy at great length when he was banned, and he made it very clear to me how events had unfolded!
I don't plot to get rid of anyone Don...i'd cut out all the middle men and PM's and would have just banned the fooker ages ago
But in this sad world you now have to follow democracy and my Nazi uniform is gathering dust - These days you have to be kind and all politically correct to prevent a fairy dance and looking at the state of this thread there is one hell of a lot fairies on here
<run>
Taken from the Glory Statement Thread When he was first banned confirming brb had already had enough of his antics
https://www.not606.com/threads/why-glory-owes-wj-an-apology.358188/ More problems and Minxy involved
https://www.not606.com/threads/super-mods-vote.313244/page-3#post-8465965 That post onwards referencing report button being used
I just grabbed those three out of the plentiful examples.
Sounds like Chesh’s hunger strike will have to continue.Firstly Thank you....
Secondly - Let me expand on what I’ve already said previously. If it was purely down to me, I’d say keep the ban. I’m on the same wave length as a couple on here who have spoken out and those who (for reasons only known to them) have not joined in who would also prefer the ban to remain.
What if for a pure example, we said to brb we vote 2-1 in favour of lifting the ban. Brb and Minxy say they vote in favour of it remaining in place so that would make it a 3-2 in favour of it remaining. What if brb says he’s had so many problems in the past he doesn’t care if all three ask for it to be lifted, it’s not happening....
Keep in mind, I’d already said I would give my vote to the other two if it were needed and they both felt strongly in favour of it being lifted. I’d said there was zero influence by us in the message to the supermods.
Until we know how the land lays with brb it’s pointless us three debating it in depth in private. Brb already said in open on the initial announcement thread that he would have banned Glory ages ago.
You’ve also got to remember, we don’t have a set of tools that can ban or unban people, I have no idea why we’re being met with silence at the moment, I can only assume brb has more pressing concerns and problems at the moment?
Cheers, Rich, but you've just brought me back to the original question - who makes the decisions round here - Mods or Supermods? Do they act on your recommendations (e.g. 2-1 vote), or just make a decision themselves once 'an incident' is brought to their attention (e.g. zero influence)?Firstly Thank you....

Forum is meant to be for the members first and foremost. End of. So why not have a vote among the members on original topic. If it’s to continue ban then issue closed. If majority wants ban lifted then whoever has the power to do that should sort it. If mods haven’t the authority the needn’t get involved except to exercise their vote like all of usCheers, Rich, but you've just brought me back to the original question - who makes the decisions round here - Mods or Supermods? I guess I'm just trying to find out who runs this board - the Mods or the Supermods. I have a horrible feeling that it's the Supermods, and I would question if that was the intention when this site was set up.
And I'll just make a wee mention of the punishment escalator again, whilst I'm here!![]()
I’m guessing it’s like any business, there is a hierarchy. We can ask and tell brb and Minxy what we want but at the end of the day they will always have the final say. Do they trust us to watch over this board, yes for sure. Would they step in if they felt we were making a wrong decision, yes definitely which is a good thing as I made a wrong call on Eric and it was brb that saved him.Cheers, Rich, but you've just brought me back to the original question - who makes the decisions round here - Mods or Supermods? So final say is essentially with someone who may or may not be aware of anything on this thread or have the interest or time to reply with a one word comment to any of you. Would same apply then if the mods wanted to ban someone at present. Just curiousI’m guessing it’s like any business, there is a hierarchy. We can ask and tell brb and Minxy what we want but at the end of the day they will always have the final say. Do they trust us to watch over this board, yes for sure. This then goes full circle, Glory has a history on here, he has to the best of my knowledge and judging on past comments caused brb problems so we put the question to brb - How does it work, we’re basically asking would it be a three way or five way vote, is it worth voting, do we have a say on this matter.
We have been met with silence, take from that what you will. I’m guessing and purely speculating that it means brb is either busy with other stuff or he doesn’t want to get involved and isn’t interested in lifting a ban. Like I said, I’m only speculating, it sounds like TC has a decent line into brb so maybe he can ask him for an update![]()
The difference with a business Ristac is there would be two way communication with said hierarchyI’m guessing it’s like any business, there is a hierarchy.
