Does this thread really matter?
To some of us a dear friend has reached out asked to be allowed to come back on a football forum. A forum about a team he has followed passionately all his life and he would very much like to enjoy some chat and and online bonhomie with likeminded people.

Most of us know about our dear friends medical history and we also know what catching corona virus would potentially mean for him. We also appreciate how difficult self isolation is for all people who are in the higher risk groups and we worry about their mental health as well as the physical. It's unfortunately likely to be an extended period of time before they're allowed to resume normal social contact and so the importance of online interaction takes on a completely new meaning and significance compared to say 2 weeks ago.

So yes it does matter to some of us.

Very well said my sentiments exactly :emoticon-0148-yes:
Question to answer do we on here really care about a fellow human being or is it just dog eat dog

I won't answer that but just think for a while and count to 10

I’ve thought about it, would rather he stayed banned tbh (and I’m not alone in wanting that outcome btw) but ffs let’s stop putting him on some kind of pedestal.

The question’s been put to the relevant powers that be, so let’s just wait and see.

We don’t need a daily update on it.

Marcos will probably come back at some point as well.

Nothing to do with Glory, I just think he's ready...if he can be arsed to think up another brilliant user name that is.
Since the site crashed a few weeks ago, there is a problem accepting new members. If he attempts to join tell him to let you know what the username is otherwise he’ll be in a long queue and could be mistaken for a spam account

Don't think anyone putting him on a pedestal I know I'm not. I just have a human side to my character I I am a firm believer in the maxims. There but for the grace of God go I, and your a long time dead

would like to see him back on. Without this site, all he’s got in life is dancing to soft cell in his y-fronts in a darkened room.

We have a moderator board, I’ve asked brb to check his PMs and in the PM I’ve pointed out this thread. He has clicked like on the post so he has seen it
But as I alluded to in a recent post, does this PM carry our Mod's decision for ratification, or is it simply a forelock-tugging request for a decision to be made on our Mods behalf?

I think we'd all like our Mods to make decisions - either way - rather than leave it open to whatever mood BRB is in. I've had little dealings with the man, but the few posts from him I've seen on here suggest he can be a man of snap decisions (again, either way) with little consideration of the facts. TBH, I get it if he's dealing with loads of these sorts of decisions & has a backlog now & again, so surely our Mods should guide him rather than leave ourselves potentially open to an ill-considered whim? If I was him, I'd like a local Mod decision to ratify / argue against, rather than raw details, intuition & reputation.

So come clean Mods, what does the PM say? Have you made a decision that BRB has to ratify (or over-ride), or have you just thrown a question at him for him to decide what should happen? For me, the most important thing in this particular situation is not the outcome, but the principle of our mods actually deciding on an outcome & only using supermods for providing counsel.

You clicked the like button on my post [HASHTAG]#204[/HASHTAG] where I stated the details of the PM along with my thoughts.
