We can split the loan. We did it with Guzan. QPR did it with Tommy Smith (notice the date on the link rules out it being a long term loan)

It was 109 days between him joining QPR (1 day before he played), and the last game he played for QPR (28th December) before the January window opened. With a 93 day maximum loan they've obviously split the loan.
I think he is hanging on in case of the play off's or he is going down every avenue possible to try and get a striker in but if this fails then he will go for Boyd. I am positive if Boyd had been a natural striker then he would be here now
