I'd forgotten about Spurs being relegated, funny ole decade that was with two big clubs going down...although I think we can add Chelsea to that list as well, so that would be three.
Seen QPR when they were relevant too...
I kind of respect it as old school to back a manager after a mediocre couple of years (by their standards and considering the backing he’s been given financially). Ferguson famously ropey at the start for longer than Ten Hag has had, Klopp wasn’t great in the first year or two from memory but Sucky went home and away and will confirm or deny that.
Just don’t think the bloke has much about him but then it looks a ridiculously tough job up against better run clubs and with huge expectations. A lot of deadwood still there and it probably does need someone to see the job through for another couple of years at least.
Chelsea must have had more than the one, back then, surely?

Can't remember mate and @BobbyD has just rocked up, so I'm out of this conversation.![]()
That's the dead wood that ten haag has bought right?

I think he’s relatively popular with the matchgoing fans too. Twitter spastics in Nigeria don’t count. No one really cares how you bag trophies if you bag them and the league form can be overlooked while you do but I can’t believe the new regime will accept being miles off the top of the league again and their squad still looks clunky to me.
To be fair I'm a Fairweather. I don't really know much about our history. Just from the bates period and onwards. Mark stein and Paul furlong as our forwards

I’ll lay a wreath for you when Lesta are relevant again.
Don't bother - if your choice of foliage is as poor as your wit it will be too green, lacking in any real substance and potentially poisonous...
You missed the best times mate, Hollins, Osgood, Harris etc playing on dodgy pitches, when there were no rules about knocking lumps out of one another. Then Bates came along and wanted to electrocute everyone.![]()
Good thing he did as the NF were recruiting outside.
Yeah you can’t say his signings have been good overall but dross on big money like Rashford and Maguire were always going to take time to shift. Not saying he’s done a good job of that either. Don’t rate the bloke but still like that they’ve backed him at a time every club bins managers so readily.
At least they aren't all goalkeepers. That's the dead wood that ten haag has bought right?
