4 points from two games is hardly an issue tbf. Would have said Everton have been the poorest in terms of expectations. They have clearly gone backwards. Drew with us in February and put up a decent fight when they lost to us last December. But we're poor as **** yesterday and were no better at home last week. Two awful, awful performances
I didn't think they'd be this bad tbh. Thought they would be at least difficult to beat but we're lucky in both games that it wasn't 5 or 6 and in both they were lucky to get nil.
I'm with you. Surprised by how appalling they've been, they usually put up a fight, surprise teams too.
UEFA cup, Fa Cups, League cups. Some unbelievable individual players and never relegated. Could be worse
I think Dyche must want out, as soon as you start blaming the fans you are a dead man walking.. Hope he stays like cos he is a ****e manager and i hate Everton.
I kind of respect it as old school to back a manager after a mediocre couple of years (by their standards and considering the backing he’s been given financially). Ferguson famously ropey at the start for longer than Ten Hag has had, Klopp wasn’t great in the first year or two from memory but Sucky went home and away and will confirm or deny that. Just don’t think the bloke has much about him but then it looks a ridiculously tough job up against better run clubs and with huge expectations. A lot of deadwood still there and it probably does need someone to see the job through for another couple of years at least.
He's definitely a weird one. His football generally has no style or identity, most of his signings are just former Ajax/ Eredivisie, he's got the personality of a soaking wet cardboard box but ultimately he's won two trophies in two years. It's like he'll be ****e for 75% of the season but bag you silverware by the end of it. It's like taking the rough with the smooth, majority of fans would take that deal I reckon.
Google translate came back with - "Never seen them win the League" PS I've seen Spurs relegated... Manchester United too...
I think he’s relatively popular with the matchgoing fans too. Twitter spastics in Nigeria don’t count. No one really cares how you bag trophies if you bag them and the league form can be overlooked while you do but I can’t believe the new regime will accept being miles off the top of the league again and their squad still looks clunky to me.
