If people are going to spout off bollocks about Corbyn supporting the IRA because he met with members of Sinn Fein, you're gonna have to apply the same standards to the DUP and its sordid history with Ulster Loyalist paramilitary groups. Like I said, Ian Paisley helped found the URM. Members of the DUP today were members of the UVF and UDA.

So you are saying Enoch Powell and Ian Paisley were as big a terrorists as Martin Mcguinness? FTP

I spent a lot of time in Ballymena during the troubles in the 80's, but I'm sure you know more about it than me, because you've got a book, or it's on your course, of you googled it or summat...

Both my dad's brothers and his uncle served in the British Army during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, his uncle being a staff sergeant, but I'm sure your holidays there make you an authority on it.

Lammy, put a bullet in the head of this thread as soon as you like.

Some of the posts have amused me.

Some have appalled me.

Some I've agreed with. (About 7 from memory).

I can live with the right wing bias.

I can live with the left wing bias.

I can cope with the nonsense, the prejudice, the ill-informed bollocks, the sniping, carping, sniding and mashing of the truth.

The lies, the racism, the unfairness, the hypocrisy.

I'll live with all that.

However, you ****s that have criticised and patronised the young voters need to take a long hard look at yourself. They are the future. They'll be here when you are not. They are angry, concerned and worried about the future.

They deserve your respect.

Shame on you for dissing them.
They'll be fine.

They already know everything.

Looking forward to my retirement now.

I thought for a minute you were going to say me admitting my physical attraction to Nicola Sturgeon was a step too far.

But no.

No mention of it.

Maybe you harbour the same thoughts Ern?

You know that she bats for the ladies who wear trouser suits, don't you Carmine?

She goes bumper to bumper.

She's a lady in comfortable shoes.

She's known for clubbin' the nubbin, for clouting the clam, for dialing "O" on the little pink telephone.

She paddles the pink canoe. She polishes the pearl. She drives Miss Daisy.

She's a diesel dyke, a rug muncher, a carpet bagger, a fur trader, a scissor sister, a sapphoholic, a daughter of Lesbos, a muff diver, a confirmed bachelorette, a fuzz bumper, a clam digger.

Good luck in pulling her. If anyone can turn her pretty little head, then I'm sure you can.

Keep us informed.

PS. Pictures would be good.

I'm saying Ian Paisley, who helped found a Loyalist paramilitary group, is just as responsible for the Troubles if not more, than the likes of McGuinness and Adams, due to his opposition to the Catholic civil rights movement in the 60s which was the the motivation for the Provos to go on the offensive. Enoch Powell was a member of the UUP, which were much more moderate and were the unionist equivalent of the SDLP.

Aaah, I wish I'd seen Ian Dury sing that live.

Does she not have a boyfriend then ??

I worked there, English people didn't go there on holiday during the troubles, as I'm sure your family will tell you (as long as they haven't seen this thread and still speak to you).

She was at 20's earlier.

Knew I should have had a punt.

I'd be well happy if she took over as top Con. She's deffo got more going on than May though.

Can you imagine if Davidson was the leader of the Labour Party?

A fat, unattractive butch lesbian Jock.

The right wing press would go into meltdown as, on top everything else, she ticks virtually every box of stereotypical politically correct caricature

Maybe you should have listened to them more.

Literally no one went on holiday there from the mainland during the troubles.
