The IFS analysis of all party manifestos is brutal. Totally expected as well if you have read the manifestos. Accuses the conservatives and labour of a 'conspiracy of silence' on taxation. Reform and Greens ard poisoning the debate. Not a single manifesto is costed properly it seems. Some damning statements on the two main parties expectations on tax avoidance and non dom policy.

I think most people know the next 5 years are going to be tough. Maybe if one party were honest they would have more support. As it stands, the next govt likely to spend 5 years explaining why they couldnt do what they said they would. If we dont change the status quo we will continue this downward trajectory. Or maybe the next govt get lucky and there are no factors outside of their control that influence their performance...

Literally minutes after the Brexit vote he was on GMB or some other breakfast show admitting that there was never a plan/possibility to give £350m per week to the NHS and that it was just a political tactic. Yet people still lap up his bullshit.

Just a shoddy person. Terrible that. But it's a sign that the way our system works is a far bigger problem than him or any other individual. There's no accountability.

He's just a relatively stubborn turd. Another flush or two and he'll be gone with barely a skidmark to remember him by.

Leaving the European Union was a big moment in our history. He’ll always be remembered for that, whether people like him/that, or not.

Regardless of what people think about Starmer, it baffles me how anyone could vote Tory after the events of the last few years - Boris lying to the Queen, covid parties, awarding contracts to their mates, Truss killing the economy, Sunak's team betting on the GE date, plus too many others to mention. Forget their supposed politics and their false manifesto promises, these people have been brazenly taking the piss out the general public and refusing to apologise or change their ways. It's shameful

Here Here.
14 years ago after the last labour government, you could get treated in hospital within weeks, an ambulance would turn up almost immediately. You could literally walk into a doctor or dentist and get treated.
Now look at the shambles.
The NHS is purposely run down as they infiltrate it with private sector bullshìt. People waiting months or years for appointments, corridors littered with patients.
Ambulance staff so short they have to prioritise calls, often hours "waiting" for stroke and heart attack victims etc.
People unable to see GP'S or dentists.

The Tories have lied their way through on an unprecedented level and anyone who say's "well labour won't be any better" . Well they were, and you couldn't get any worse than this shower of shìt.

Yeah. A global pandemic and a swelling population takes its toll on a country’s services and infrastructure.

What baffles me, some still will, obviously they’ve been living under a rock for the last 14 years.
Is there anyone out there who can give me a reason any sane person would vote Tory this time round?

Last GE I aked my in-laws (working class folk from North Shields who have a bit of money now) why on earth they would vote Tory and was told "...well Diane Abbot & Jeremy Corbyn...."

I politely reminded them they were supposed to be voting for their local PM but they just repeated the same phrase over and over. They voted leave too
