Typically weak response,

I suppose reality is hard to accept. The public are clearly not convinced by Labour. It is facing a fourth successive defeat. The only way back for any alternative to the Tories is a centre left party similar to Blair's long term government. A Momentum led socialist party will never be elected in the UK.
If you think that’s weak governance, you wait will till Boris and his fellow Tarquins are in charge.

It seems that today has been the day that the Tories have started to admit the lies. Islamophobia does exist within the party, there will not be 50,000 new nurses or 40 new hospitals, and there will have to be border checks in goods moving between the mainland and NI. All of these things have been denied up until now, but better for them to admit it now than later.

“Yeah, sorry about that - we were lying. Anyway... look over there! Immigrants!”

After Brexit the Conservatives will introduce an excellent new immigration system to attract the best and brightest from around the world. Migrants will be put into three categories. Those defined as 'excellent will be given automatic right of entry with no cap on numbers. The second group will be skilled workers who meet the criteria of a points based system and have a confirmed job offer. Special groups such as the NHS will receive fast-track entry and reduced fees.
Unskilled workers will be allowed in on time-limited visas, something I have been advocating for years. They will have no ongoing ability to obtain permanent residency.

Hopefully they will send back all those foreigners found guilty of criminal offences. This announcement will go down extremely well with both Tory and Labour voters who were horrified by the UK's present inability to control numbers or quality of migrants from the EU.

What the government has been advocating, and SH is repeating, is an Australian type points system. That was designed to reduce immigration except for those that the government said were necessary for the economy. It has turned out to be a failure, admitted by the government and shown up by official figures. The skilled have not wanted to go, the unskilled do, and the result is that immigration has increased, not decreased.
With regard to the NHS workers are not arriving, but leaving. The very people from the EU that they need are leaving and are not being replaced from elsewhere. 20 nurses in one unit have left the Oxford University Trust over the past three months and no replacements from elsewhere have been found. It might sound great to the uninformed, but this whole Brexit mess has been a total disaster for the staff who are working extra unpaid hours to cover up for the shortage.

Yes, and all those tourists visiting London from the EU will have to apply for 'visa free status', which involves a security check 3 days in advance of travel and the possession of a biometric passport (which most don't have) - result = the 20 million EU tourists per year who visit London will go somewhere else for their long weekend, and take their money with them.

Serious unemployment in many parts of Europe will continue to make the UK an attractive option for those seeking work. Rather than being forced to take all sorts of undesirables the UK will be able to control the numbers and quality of those after employment. This popular system is long overdue and will resonate exceptionally well on Thursday.

You are in denial SH. They are already leaving and despite adverts being placed in many countries inside and outside the EU, there are no applicants. Meanwhile people are having their operations cancelled due to the botched pension scheme that this government brought in. The surgeon that my daughter normally works with has taken a three month leave rather than pay £30,000 to the tax man. The result is my daughter having to guide a Registrar through an operation she has never done before.

This new Tory government has already said it will address the 'pension' issue. The well meaning policy to save costs by the remainer Osborne will be corrected. When Brexit is completed the remain hysteria comments will subside and foreign applicants will return in droves. The alternative is to on the dole in France, Spain, Portugal, Greece etc.

Can't speak for the others SH but Portugal is reducing unemployment very effectively at the moment under a Socialist government.

Agreed, it puts Spain, France and Greece to shame. The high level of civil disobedience in these other EU countries does not help.

You really are a trusting little soul . Would I employ the man who was sacked by newspapers for making up stories, or for lying to his parties leader? Would I employ the man who makes racist or sexist comments, or who refuses to take responsibility for numerous affairs and children. Would I employ a man who blows £40M on a building project that doesn't even see a single brick laid, or who doesn't even want to admit to not understanding his own agreement. The list is endless, and if he came asking for a job I would wonder why he even thought himself suitable. Yet this is the man you trust. Quite bizarre!

I doubt you are in position to employ anybody.

You seem completely at odds with the British public. Your whinging and whining is not being taken seriously by anyone. Boris Johnson is the most popular political party leader as well in the the most popular political party in the UK. The Tories have been in control for nearly 10 years with another five looking likely. I'd like to thank those that tried to reverse the democratic referendum result. The consequence is vital support for the Tories from other parties which will make all the difference.

Many thanks once again. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Very sad that such a person could be popular, if he is. Yes the Tories have been in control for nearly 10 years and just look at the list above of what they have achieved. Destruction of the services and NHS that the public rely on. More of the same will keep you happy? Very sad!

It may be very sad for those that are not able to understand basic political choices. The only alternative to the Tories is a fiscally ruinous, incompetent and extreme left wing government who would leave the UK with a debt mountain like the one currently being built in France.

Boris has predicted a bonking bonanza across Britain once Brexit has been done. He claims there will be a baby boom similar to 2012, the year of the London Olympics.

I understand he has been practicing for the event for the last few years!! :emoticon-0100-smile
