Was thinking this today, high fives and low fives, every shot, even if it was ****. That's degrading to the high five. It wasn't invented for that!
Its strange how quite a few of us were thinking the same thing today, i said to our lass have you noticed how doubles players don't look as professional as single players and what the **** is he high fiving her for it was the other player who missed for f ucks sake.
I don't watch a lot of doubles but I reckon it must be a new thing as I'm sure I would have noticed it before, looks American to me. You can see half the time when they've ****ed up they don't want to do it but then they do anyway. They've started cupping their hands over their faces now too, when they're discussing tactics. I highly doubt there are any players that would master lip reading to get an advantage. Seems a bit paranoid and insulting.
One saturday night - back when single - could not get my keys out of my pocket, so decided (tad pissed remember) the best way would be to strip off then empty my pockets. Figured this out the next day after I finally found my clothes surprisingly neatly folded on my front step. I lived on a terraced street with no gardens so was a tad fortunate no one noticed. There's worse, but not too many.
I like that you were too pissed to put your hand in your pocket to get your keys out but still some part of your brain insisted that you folded your clothes. Drunk logic is great. I had a funny night a couple of weeks ago, just at home and got stuck too far into a bottle of whiskey and the next morning I found that I'd moved certain things into different rooms. I'd put a candle in a copper pot in the kitchen sink, one of my trainers was outside and I'd put a vase on the floor in the hall. I'd also took all my clothes off apart from my boxers and left them in the living room. Not a great story just a bit of weirdness, I have no idea why I did any of it.
Dallas police say they have heightened security at their headquarters after receiving an anonymous threat, two days after the deadly shooting in the city. SWAT officers were deployed at the main building, in effect placing it under lockdown, local media say. On Thursday, five white police officers were shot dead by a black man, Micah Johnson, during a protest rally. The march was against the killing of black men by police. Two deaths this week have led to nationwide protests. In a statement, the police said on Saturday: "The Dallas Police Department received an anonymous threat against law enforcement across the city and has taken precautionary measures to heightened security." An armoured vehicle was moved close to the main HQ in central Dallas and heavily armed officers were seen nearby, according to the Associated Press news agency. But it added that members of the public were still able to walk about freely around the building. The police has not commented on the media reports that the HQ was under lockdown. The shooting happened late on Thursday during the protest march. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-36757060

Supposedly Pep wants to sell Hart and replace him with Ter Stegen from Barcelona, I think that would be wise. Hart had a terrible Euro's and has been patchy in general for the last few years, looks like his confidence has dropped despite all his bluster. You could argue they should sell Kompany too, he was immense for them for years but he's always injured now and when he does play he makes errors. Not sure on that one, if he stays fit and picks up some form he's an excellent defender.
The Magpies confirmed this weekend that Cisse is leaving and the Senegal striker took to Twitter to pay tribute to the club and its fans. "Every goal I scored in that famous number nine shirt was for them,” Cisse wrote. It just goes to show that, no matter how ridiculous, if you repeat things over and over it becomes a 'fact'. (http://www.not606.com/threads/the-sacred-number-9-shirt.332316/) 'Famous number 9, historic gates, 52,000 every game, glory days, more than a club' Very few people can name Newcastle's list of 'famous strikers', the gates are about as historic as the Sunderland Davy Lamp, Newcastle's average gates are less than 50,000 and their glory days were over 60 years ago when they last won a current major trophy ...... .... and they're not 'more than a club', they're less of a club than every one in the Premier League. They're not right in the head up there.
Some team that innit. I'd not have Bale mind, he barely found a pass all tourney. Ramsey was much better.
