I think people are looking into this too much. Our club has an agreement with Al Ahly that they can use our medical facilities if they need to (theirs can't be very good), which probably explains why he's here.
That's all well and good but if you were Al Ahly and your prized asset was injured and you wanted to keep him at all costs and there was zero chance of him signing for us, would you then stick him on a plane to a foreign country and all the inconvenience of that? Im pretty sure you'd calculate that it's better he stays with your own medical team.
Aren't they considering cancelling the league in Egypt again this year? That being the case, they need to farm out anyone they can to get them off the wage bill.
Yeah, precisely - another reason why he's been sent here. I really dont think having access to our 'state of the art' medical facilities (that's sarcasm btw) is enough reason alone for him to be here.
