Sounds like he might just be using the clubs facilities, as per that agreement with Al Ahly. I'd be more than happy with Gedo though, I thought he looked a very tidy player. Sure he ran out of steam but he hadn't played for a year.
Must be good news then that he thinks he'll be fit in 4 weeks rather than by October as has been suggested.
Would love to see him back with us, but not as the main strike force. We don't know if he'll be able to make it in the Premiership. Good backup and could turn out to be a real gem.
Gedo definitely knew where the goal was - I'd have him in front of any of those we currently have on our books (excl Aluko)
How about a situation wher Gedo is an additional/loan striker? Fathi too, perhaps? It would suit them both, to be out of an Egypt which is possibly on the brink of civil war. And it could suit City, too.
I think people are forgetting that he is a poacher, and there aren't many around especially who are available to us. He was brilliant but obviously had that injury holding him back, I would be very happy with him.
I really cant see him flying in here injured and all the hassle that goes with that if all 3 parties werent very interested in him coming back here..... That's all well and good but if you were Al Ahly and your prized asset was injured and you wanted to keep him at all costs and there was zero chance of him signing for us, would you then stick him on a plane to a foreign country and all the inconvenience of that? Im pretty sure you'd calculate that it's better he stays with your own medical team.
Out of interest how many strikers does the average PL squad have? I also believe that NP will do better in the PL and Gedo would be good to have in the squad.
Aren't they considering cancelling the league in Egypt again this year? That being the case, they need to farm out anyone they can to get them off the wage bill.
Yeah, precisely - another reason why he's been sent here. I really dont think having access to our 'state of the art' medical facilities (that's sarcasm btw) is enough reason alone for him to be here.
Maybe not. As I said, happy to have him on board and if he can get fit in 'a couple of weeks', then maybe we would consider him.
