Behave, just take a look at how much the HDM "bigged it up" for a start, along with most other outlets, they made it way worse then it ever needed to be.

I don't see HDM as msm though I accept it's all a lot of folk read. However, here's a few HDM headlines from the past few days. Myself I don't see anything too inflammatory (no joke intended...) amongst them, it just reinforces my view that people being dumb is the problem.

The headlines are wrong, as there is no shortage of fuel, just a shortage of drivers to get it to some stations. The media whipping it up, and the gullible falling for it, has meant some stations running out before they get a chance for the next delivery.

Of course people are dumb, rules for storing fuel at home, rationing, don't let your tank get less than a quarter full.

People are dumb for reading and believing the headlines.

That's exactly what happened, the media in this country are shocking and are the route of most problems. But on the flip side it shows how easily manipulated humans are. The media could pretty much get the population to do whatever it wanted if they really wanted to. Most people these days seem to lack the capacity to think independently.
Or lockdown as it’s known !!

Just had to drive to Cirencester.... motorways really quiet and people doing 60 conserving fuel.... I was thinking, this has just crept up on us and 'snap fingers' this situation has occurred.... are we saying that 1000's of tanker drivers have chucked their jobs overnight, as a month ago, two weeks ago there wasn't a problem...!!!?

There is no problem.

Other than panic buying.

In a couple of days the petrol stations will be replenished and no one will be buying fuel because everyone's tanks are already full.

This situation was caused by a rumour, exacerbated by the media and magnified by idiots.

Once a panic like this has started, it's impossible to stop.

Who amongst us now hasn't filled up this weekend?

Why?

Because the rumour mongers may just be right, right?

My Tesla driving friend keeps sending photos of people queuing for fuel at forecourts <laugh><laugh>

Now he can be smug.... My hybrid does approx 20miles on elec only and can't really say much and now I actually have to do proper miles I filled up this morning
