Had any of you backed PACHA DU POLDER with any other jockey on board you would be spitting feathers on here now! Last comment on the whole fiasco from myself.
To finish the festival I am on Whiteout and Children's List at 28/1 and 12/1 and did combo forecasts with the fav. Rock The World each way. Then it's time to stick a couple of ante posts on for next years Festival and sign off.
Nina you beauty-God I love that women!cracking day so far[/QUOTE] Just shows how drinking and gambling can seriously affect your senses!
I agree that VP was probably told to hunt him round for the first circuit and if she felt OK to make a go of it second time round. She looked tired coming up the hill, like she didn't have the strength to push the horse on. Not a criticism as such, the only thing that'll get you fit to ride in a race is lots of riding in races! With another year under her belt, and an equally obliging partner, she could have a real shot. All credit to her though, I've ridden since I was 10, though not for the last few years, (and non-racers only) and you wouldn't catch me having a crack at anything like that!
Did you see the interview with Nina and her hubby? He's definitely punching above his weight, and certainly doesn't take after the other members of the Walsh family! He's obviously besotted with Nina though, saying the best thing about her is her smile.
I bet she's physically fitter than any of the jockeys in the weighing room even the proffesional ones. So would be suprised if it was a case of tiredness.
Race fit is a different kind of fit though, I don't doubt she was probably in very good shape, but you just can't get properly fit to ride without spending an awful lot of time on the back of a horse.
Literally just looked at the antepost for next year - glad I'm not the only keen one Any jump out at you Bob? Ballyandy 16/1 for the Supreme?
