The circus is only generated by internet chatter though and forums like this. Donald will know where he stands and FPP will know where they stand. The club is clearly in good enough shape to recruit players and get results in the league. The more we work ourselves up about it, the greater the problems seem.
As I find myself doing a lot at the moment, agree with you here Norton. As fans it's easy to get caught up in the vortex of TAKEOVER OMG, but the simple truth is that these things are slow-burners by nature, and while it would be a nice boost for us all if something positive happened, it really isn't materially going to change the current squad between now and May regardless of who is in charge.
We need to just keep our heads for now. Idle speculation and chat are one thing, but the tension is because we're all becoming conditioned to see that as an end to our journey. It reminds me of how everyone got so het up about the B word, then they interviewed some wifey on the BBC just after 11pm the other day and asked her what would change for her and she said 'well... nothing...'
If we got new owners tomorrow, we'd still be the same squad in the same division, fighting the same battle to get out of it. New owners can't change that now.
