cabaye red early on ... they just seem to play the crowd for me ( dann was getting away with foul after foul after foul no punishment at all......that was awful minus 2 really but we won
Far end of the pitch to me but Cabaye’s tackle seemed a definite red but the ref appeared to bottle it.
and yet it's still in 'The Laws of the Game' as an infringement Elliott was holding on to the ball I will give you that, but this was after we scored the goal It doesn't hide the fact that Speroni had been doing it all game sometimes as long as 12 seconds trust me I timed it the fact the ref urged us to get on with the game when Elliott held onto the ball was laughable as he didn't show the same sense of urgency when Palace has the ball also in the melee following Cabaye's tackle on Yedlin the ref completely ignored that Zaha's had dived in the box Zaha also raced back 40 yards with Yedlin and brought him down from behind no card
well we had a good goal not given ..def game changer early on .. minus 2 poor ref im my view .sure he was in the championship last year ..played the crowd and gave yellows for nothing out of his depth i thought .
that was only 1 of a number of baffling decisions why would Gayle go down - he was in front of the defender he was very quick to punish Newcastle for the slightest of infringements but let the Bournemouth right back foul Atsu all game one of his most bizarre decisions was to allow their player to retake a throw in when he had taken it from the wrong place correct me if I'm wrong ( I'm not though ) it should of been classed as a foul throw and awarded to us
Today was another great example of how embarrassing the FA have become. The ref was abysmal. Little pretentious, precious ****wit. For me the real issue this season is the linesfannies. They've been crap in every match I've watched. Not sure when the "if in doubt, favour the attacker" disappeared, but certainly the lino's have no fcking idea what they're doing. Too often they're watching the ball and giving a bad decision, it's really ****.
While Gayle was onside, it was really close and you can understand the lino's mistake. It is very hard to call those right in real time. I agree, though, the "give the attacker the benefit of the doubt" is ignored too often, I guess since it's easier for a linesman to take criticism for disallowing a goal that was onside than take criticism for allowing a goal which which was offside.
for the first time in ages I had seen a decision go for us today the ref awarded us a throw in when the opposition did a foul throw pity he didn't pick up on my pet hate of the goalkeeper holding onto the ball longer than 6 seconds Gomes was holding onto the ball longer than 9 seconds wasting time from the 1st minute also if we did to their fans what Gomes was doing when they scored we would be arrested for inciting the opposition many questionable decisions and the lino on the East stand side too fat to keep up with the game
as I have said in a previous post on the match day thread I cannot understand how we get rookie refs while more experienced refs stand and do nothing as 4th officials the foul on our player on the halfway line was plain to see to anyone yet the ref awards them a free kick this, despite happening 2 yards in front of the 4th official also the 2 footed lunge by Hughes on our player at the Leazes corner was completely ignored by assistant and ref
We can trace this back to the harry Kane foul. Whilst it's not atrocious as last season, we still don't get any rub of the green in any given match. Has having Joey Barton all those years ago just ruined good tidings with the ref association!?
i just give up with them at home .. have done for years ..ok it was never going to change the game the best team won easy . but yet again another crowd player
and ther you have it the FA decide no ban for Lukaku it was as petulent as Shelvey yet no ban for a Manure player Imagine what would of happened if it was Mitro and yet it wasn't highlighted on MotD +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Match of the Day host Gary Lineker responded to the criticism and explained why the incident wasn't discussed on the show. "We didn’t see it at the time," Lineker tweeted. "We had 5 games to watch at 3pm. Wasn’t mentioned by a single Sunday newspaper. "Only came to light after a few Brighton fans mentions on Twitter late on Saturday night. Certainly was not a decision to not show it." However rivals fans think they know the real reason it wasn't shown on Match of the Day and why he avoided punishment.
Where do you start I counted 14 occasions where a free kick or other decision went against us The man handling of Gayle was unbelievable time and time again it was the lino who had to wave his flag to give a free kick were it should of been the refs decision The off ball foul on Perez before they went up the other end to score was a noteable non decision Just like the handball in the penalty area by (I think) Simpson The new fa directive seems to point to that it is ok for opposition players to push ours but we are not allowed to do the same
not going to blame the ref for this one ...got some great calls right ... one of the better refs i have seen up here for a long time .. he did give nothing on the 50 /50 push challenges... but that happens up here .... if that was andre marriner or mike jones doing that match ...the vardy one would of been a pen for sure ...
