To be fair I think it was a bit more than that. Slowed down it looks less convincing. However at full pace Mankini leans on him, puts his hand on his shoulder giving a little pull, and then falls into his leg. All at full pace. Clumsy isn’t even the word. I realise Sterling is quick but Mankini was like bambi on ice dealing with the situation. All at sea.
Agree with Hung. For me not a penalty. There is contact but that doesn’t mean it’s a foul. Sterling goes down like Sterling ie at the slightest of touches. As a defender you’re allowed to not just get out of the way. Sterling appears to go down after he has got past Mankiller and realises the ball has just got away from him and not as a consequence of the contact from Mankiller.
Sure this has some relation to this thread https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/f...uckiest-clubs-Betstars-bookies-sportgalleries we are the 19th luckiest (2nd unluckiest) club in the EPL according to some algorithm based on: 1) the proportion of shot that have hit the woodwork compared to their opponents. 2) how often each team has played opponents who have been missing key players. 3) percentage of poor chances (long range, speculative efforts) that a team have scored compared to the proportion they have conceded. 4) the proportion of minutes teams have played against 10 men or nine men compared to how often they have seen players sent off themselves. 5) the number of penalties teams have won and how many they’ve conceded compared to the number of penalty box entries. To be completely honest I'm surprised we aren't 20th
Should it have been a corner from which Burnley scored tonight? Looked like a bad decision from the ref from where I was sat (Gallowgate corner).
look as though the Burnley player headed it straight out from where I was sitting and I was in the Leazes
Missed penalty and missed sending off for me today. Pawson didnt have a lot to do but what he had he botched.
I’d forgotten about that. It clearly looked as though he just added time for the corner to be taken and then blew for half time when nothing happened. Or, it was a huge coincidence that the extra time of 20+ seconds for the time wasted in the “extra” minute matched how long was required for the corner to be taken.
twice this season a ref has blown for half time when we had a corner awarded at the end of the first half didn't allow us the extra time to take ours
2 more let offs today? Both those Lascelles challenges towards the end looked dodgy. Ref biased towards Newcastle?
