Excellent programme on radio 5 last night called Flintoff's Ashes Legends. Understated 'heroes' like Gladstone Small, Gary Pratt <ok> etc.
It'll still be on iplayer or radio5 podcast if you missed it.

Yeah I heard it too Cromer and it was excellent! The Beeb might have plenty of faults but TMS on Longwave is just the commentory of Summer.. Keep up the good work Aggers and Co!

oh, so i assume guru is fully expecting his own team to win the league next year? i mean, its a tight division. why expect anything less? if you think you'll finish anywhere other than 1st you're more negative than i thought.

what poppycock <doh>

i'm sorry, but you must be on the wind up.

on a side note guru, i see you're club are signing joel grant. neat little player. i haven't stopped laughing at you signing cole skuse though - man, that guy is gonna be a legend at ipswich! for all the wrong reasons, of course. if i were to compare him to another footballer i'd go with andy hughes. watch him weave his magic!!! <laugh>

Thats your opinion Supers, I have found him to be a solid, dependable player. the judgement as they say is out.

Give me cold hard facts why we can't supers, I'm not going to dismiss it out of hand as you have to your team chances.

top 10 - would be ok
top 6 - would be fantastic
top 2 - bloody out of this world
first - ****ing excellent job by everybody concerned!

It must be quiet on the ITFC board as they are both over here all the time. I think we may break into the top 10 next year - just. Rather 9th than 7th and the curse of the Europa League

we were only a grant holt penalty away from 10th last season yet apparently we were lucky to finish 11th and should have gone down. likewise, we should be aiming to win the league or at the very least qualify for the champions league, otherwise, what's the point?

i can't be the only one who thinks guru could do with psychiatric help, am i?

do your players go out to win every game? then if they aiming to win every game then its a fact that you are aiming to win the league, because achieve everything you aim for, thats means you win the league!

If they aren't aiming to win every game then thats for another thread, and a FA enquiry!

i get the feeling ipswich have spent so long out of the top flight that their fans have not noticed that it's changed out of all recognition! its not the 70s now boys - you can't just make three or four astute buys with a decent manager and challenge for the title anymore. you start low and build up your ambitions. 17th next season would still represent success to us as it would mean we continue to ply our trade in the top division. obviously we all want to do better than that i think we will. next stage is to push on for top half. then after that try and do better in the cups. then after that try and push on a bit further etc etc. i think you've got a bit too used to the mayhem of the championship dear

I think you are mistaking ambitions, realisim and actual facts.

the actual fact is that you can't just split a division into haves and have nots, just to glorify your position. As have been proven by Newcastle in recent times.

There is nothing wrong in being realistic, but to completely dismiss the top seven is totally wrong and unfair to your club.
