i get the feeling ipswich have spent so long out of the top flight that their fans have not noticed that it's changed out of all recognition! its not the 70s now boys - you can't just make three or four astute buys with a decent manager and challenge for the title anymore. you start low and build up your ambitions. 17th next season would still represent success to us as it would mean we continue to ply our trade in the top division. obviously we all want to do better than that i think we will. next stage is to push on for top half. then after that try and do better in the cups. then after that try and push on a bit further etc etc. i think you've got a bit too used to the mayhem of the championship dear

I think you are mistaking ambitions, realisim and actual facts. the actual fact is that you can't just split a division into haves and have nots, just to glorify your position. As have been proven by Newcastle in recent times. There is nothing wrong in being realistic, but to completely dismiss the top seven is totally wrong and unfair to your club.
