Fixtures

The one thing we do know - we need to come fighting and positive from the first whistle on Aug 17th. In our favour, we will have a settled manager and a squad which has been fine-tuned rather than overhauled. Whereas last year, CH was new and some players weren't around for the first couple of games, hence our dismal start (3 points from 7 games <yikes>)

The Hull website are trumpeting the fact that they start their season at home against us on Aug 17th <doh> whereas we play them second. If the team are as poor as the marketing / PR men, that'll be three points in the bag, then <ok>

Great 2 b at home on opening day. Dreadful run-in though, so hope we're safe by April.

first home game since watford in the championship season in 2010/11. I also understand we haven't won an opening fixture since 2002 <yikes>!

sometimes there are some odd results towards the end of the season, but that looks tough. fulham to have their usual end of season slump and we win at the cottage!

Not a bad first 6 games, could have been far worse. (Outside chance of 7+ points from the first 3 games)

Pleased to see Cardiff at home breaking the nasty little sequence at the end of October/early Novemeber.

As long as we are on 40 points 5th April then there should be no worries <whistle>

I see March as the key - five winnable fixtures before the wheels could come off - if we target nine points here from a possible fifteen this should be something of a cushion for us!

We haven't got Palace away on Boxing Day!

However, we've got them away on New Year's Day instead!

nice start to the season, very tricky end. there's points to be had though - both liverpool and arsenal at home are winnable - i think if we are 4 points clear of the bottom 3 with four games to go, we'll be safe enough. overall, most of the tough fixtures are spread out with the exception of the final four

Everton haven't yet beaten us in 2 seasons. 3 draws and a win for us. I reckon we'll break our winless streak with this one, just because we seem to have a knack of annoying Everton, like we do against Spurs.

funny seeing fans of everyone laughing at our final four games on twitter. they all seem to believe norwich are down before a ball has even been kicked. obviously forgotten that we beat more of the top clubs last season than anyone outside the top six and that there are 34 games before these <doh>

Great to see that most of the comments posted on the 'offending' article are from indignant City fans <ok>
I'm on there, and I think I recognise part of your name on there too? <ok>

more proof of twitter having more than it's share of thick people
