We really should make something like a Hull World Festival of Fish n Chips for Good Friday 2017 City of Culture.
There's a new Harpers franchise opening in Anlaby.
They've been working late through the week - I assume to try and get it ready for Easter. I've not had chance to drive past
since Wednesday so I'm not sure if they will or not.
That's three chippies in Anlaby all within 100 yards or so of each other !
By the way I'll be tucking into Frozen-at-Sea skinless boneless Icelandic haddock.

The girlfriend is doing slimming world and reckons she can't have fish and chips tonight, not sure where that leaves me.

Harpers are alright, but Frydays is way better.
Our lass has just started a vegan and gluten free diet.
Didn't stop her eating a pizza last night. Or half inching some of the mince and mash I made the other night.
They always cheat. You've got all afternoon to talk her round.
And the last couple of times we went to cave street, the chips were a bit overdone. I hope our mate's on top form today.

Fryday's batter is too thick. Never tried Harpers - yet. Woody in Anlaby fries a better fish but his chips can be a bit scraggy.
Fight with stealth from the inside grasshopper.
Know thy enemy better than they know themselves.
Fish shop fish with batter removed is syn free. Half a portion of chips, dabbed with kitchen roll to remove excess oil, is 7 syns. Frozen peas are free. 2 slices of Warburtons wholemeal bread is your healthy b.
Sell it to her that way and you'll be gorging on patties all night.
I really wish they could do proper fish and chips over this way. Even the best chippies here don't compete with Yorkshire.
