Very straight sidepods, quite a flat front wing. That Ferrari is the least curvy of the curvy new cars.
The shot of the rear offers most insight to the diffuser. Very interesting.
In short the merc and ferrari seem on the face of things totally diametrically opposite approaches to aero and ground effect.
Both cannot be right or I suppose one will.be more righ than the other.
Even look at the wing mirrors.
The ferrari looks to be directing air down over the body tub with the slats.
The merc design is totally unique

There seem to be a lot of people talking the Ferrari up. I hope they’re right, would be great to see them up there. Hoping that Macca is there or thereabouts too.
Isn't it all about engines and suspension and ground effect not about "good looks"

Nope....it's totally about how hot that Ferrari is. Best looking F1 car since the FW14 and MP4-6, And the 640/1. It's stunning.

Meh. Ugly cars won Schumacher 5 titles.
I note all all your good looking cars are basically the same rough era.
The side pods on this one are cleaner than the other cars and more defined but that could all vanish for the first race as the floor is unveiled.
The end of the 80s and early 90s had the best looking cars for me, and some of them just v12 monsters. Absolutely wonderful.
