Maybe; friends was a term of phrase, but there is definitely a link, whatever it may be.

There is definitely something going on. I don't think you (some players) are too much more aware than anyone else.

I've absolutely no idea what's going on at the moment, lots of rumours, but no reliable info. Someone I know is convinced that there's a very major player involved and that he's the link between the Allams and Silva, but I'm far from convinced.

you joking?
we scored first but then we couldnt hold onto the lead. He had us bottom of the table, the worst goal difference, playing a **** goalie.......... must I go on?
Pundits and other fans will just remember the mess the club is in and won't blame him. Up until this point, they never have.

Think that Tom Huddelstone looks like a player that might shine in his systems. A bit of topic but I thought on Sat he was imperious in the first half, pinging first time passes off just like the players at Barca. And that our excellent first half display owed a lot to his play. Like most of you I am excited by the new manager and his team and look forward to seeing any new signings that he brings in. Like someone else said some hidden gems from the continent-maybe like Mahrez of Leicester.

We getting Ronaldo in on loan?

Someone would have had to have written it for him. You can't write that much in chunky crayon.

I know you're joking about the crayons bit but someone else will have written it for him. No statement from any CEO, vice chairman, owner or whatever will ever be written by them.

It makes me think of, say the programme notes in the manager's name. Do people think they're written by the manager? Most take an interest and suggest a couple of themes but I know of 1 City manager who literally didn't input a single thought to the process during his entire reign, simply saying "write whatever you want".

Nigel Pearson?

People seem excited about Silva. People seem to have an issue that Phelan picked Marshall, he played one up front, he played X player in an 'incorrect position' or he made a sub and we subsequently lost the game, (which of course means it was definitely due to the awful, awful substitution).

Silva is almost definitely going to start Marshall in the league too. Foreigners don't tend to do 4-4-2, so sadly it might well be one up front again. He'll put players in whatever position he thinks is right, which if it seems unusual will obviously be deemed 'incorrect' by people on here.

Just hope all this bluster about getting behind him actually lasts longer than a game or two. Remember we're still expected to lose pretty much every game. Even Bournemouth will probably be favourites at the KCOM.

Silva likes playing a 4-3-3 formation. Depending on who we bring in we will likely see a similar formation. Your obsession with him starting Marshall is odd as no one is frothing at the mouth for him to drop Marshall. He likely will. But if Marshall continues to underperform I have no doubt Silva will change things up.

Will be mildly interested in your reaction if Jak starts against Bournemouth though.

'Foreigners don't tend to do 4-4-2'?

They also eat funny food, have weird customs and speak fishy languages.

There've been various posts on here in the last day or so saying we can stay up but only if we start Jak. People were convinced that Phelan only played Marshall because he was 'his' signing (even though he almost definitely wasn't his signing). Phelan definitely lost a lot of support on here over the Marshall situaton, and Silva is likely to do exactly the same as what Phelan did. Hopefully people will be more understanding for a 'cooler' manager. No idea why you'd think my reaction to Jak starting would be interesting. I'm not fanatical about one particular keeper like some of you lot are, I just want to go back to a time where we discuss team selections in a less hysterical way, where doing something the fans wouldn't do doesn't automatically mean they're a terrible manager.

As I'm sure you're aware, 4-4-2 is seen as a rigid, old-fashioned English thing when it suits.

If we're expecting this guy to bring his sexy European style of football, surely it'll be 4-3-3 as Syd says, which won't please the "FORWARD!" brigade on here.
