I wouldn't exactly call Martin a good actor myself, but Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is brilliant

On your original post I think Gene Wilder's a better actor than he's often given credit for. Same with a lot of comedians to be fairAgreed - just on the daft comedy thought train he came up.
It's personal taste isn't it? I think De Vito is brilliant in Throw Momma From The Train, like some of Day Lewis and Irons but find some other stuff of both's a bit mannered, and find Nicholson pretty much unwatchable. No mentions yet for Day Lewis, Irons, De Vito, Cristoph Waltz....was Jack Nicholson mentioned?
Adam Sandler is a poor man's Ben Stiller.Great choice especially Steve Carrell except for Jack Black for me, find him really annoying for some reason!
Stop been ****A guy called Kamil Grosicki.....Some days he plays the part of a professional footballer, then next a pikey polish person..

Fair point......I've asked the bird from down the street to thrash me with a cat and nine-tails...Disappointing post.
No need for pikey Polish.
He's our player. He's our sulky player, but he's our player at least u until January. Back the lazy fukcer.
Dustin Hoffman. No-one comes close.

Even though it was Haneke who did the English speaking version, I sincerely couldn't be arsed. The original is ausgezeichnet.
Love a lot of Haneke's films: Time of the Wolf, Cache, Benny's Video... off the top
Olivia Coleman deserves some more film roles, she's incredible in Tyrranosaur.Olivia Colman, not seen her be anything but brilliant in a whole range of roles
Local(ish) favourite Sheridan Smith
As many have said, Tom Hardy, although Hollywood seems to be turning him into a bigger star and worse actor
Not really seen any of his films, which would you recommend watching first?
You're not missing anything with the remake, (as I'm sure you know) it's a shot for shot copy.

Day-Lewis should give his oscars to Adam Sandler
