All club owners May 2020 - "Our primary concern throughout this difficult time has been for the health and safety of our players and staff and that will continue to be the case."

All club owners September 2020 - I’m not paying for tests if the league doesn’t require me to.

Fixed it for you ;)

You should have point out my omission of an important word.
...ed ?

Forgot - speaking to the Chief Super. of the grammar police.

"Give it a rest" is the quote of the day, I dunno, maybe the week.

You on drugs? Self-medicating? I missed a word out which altered the meaning of the sentence to the opposite of what I meant. Such is your rush to respond you appear not to have noticed.

...and I'm not going to let anyone else pay for them either...."

Seriously, why on earth did they decline West Ham's offer of paying for tests ahead of the match? I'd be really pissed off if I was a player or their partners/kids.

There was an interesting piece in The Athletic about the National league. A few clubs were pushing for the play off's to be completed, in order to do that they needed to be classed as elite. They received this, but now they have to adhere to the rule of no spectators, which is really putting them in a difficult financial position.

If these few clubs had not insisted on obtaining this Elite status, then they would still be able to have spectators.

For anyone who wants to know exactly how the decision at the KCOM was arrived at, all SAG meetings have to be minuted and a FOI requested would give a full account of who said and did what.
