Stevenage's fixture at Bradford will go ahead despite THREE players testing positive for Covid-19
Pa Media
Stevenage's League Two match at Bradford this afternoon will go ahead as scheduled despite two more players testing positive for coronavirus.

The positive tests followed the club's decision to test all players and staff in the wake of an initial positive case being recorded on Thursday.

However, following discussions between the club and EFL medical staff, the EFL determined that was 'no medical reason' why the game should not take place.

Not the case with holidaying though. Regardless of test and trace you still need to isolate for minimum of 14 days before returning to work.

Of the random checks that the Border Force has done, to check that people were self isolating after returning from holidays, there was nobody home at 400 of the addresses they attended (I've no idea how many checks they've done, but I doubt it's tens of thousands). This is what we're up against, people just take the piss.

Edit - I've just seen further details, they investigated 4,000 addresses and found nobody home at 440 of them, at 240 of them, the people they were looking for had never even lived at the address they'd given. <doh>

Oh I know that
I was only commenting on the guidance, not whether people were following the guidance.
Of course now it is actually illegal to not isolate, and as an employer is is also illegal for you to allow a worker to come into work who you know should be isolating. Both subject to large fines.

This kind of says it all really.

Unless you're a footballer or rugby player then it seems like different rules apply.

That’s right - professional sports people are exempt.

When I was returning from a work trip to Sweden recently - a right fat bastard was in the border check queue thing trying to persuade the official that he was a professional boxer so didn’t need to isolate!!
