Suppose nobody should go anywhere like shops, bars, restaurants etc...just incase test and trace contact them?
Market stalls will obviously follow the 2 metre rule? You ever seen woman shoppers scrapping over a bargain?:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Both examples are allowable and uncontrolled. If the decision to scrap the game, helps control. or has been deemed to help control the spread. Then, for me, correct decision.

Your assuming City have slipped up some where over this without anything to back that up at all. Whilst at the same time dismissing that HCC are blameless.
10 clubs were invited to take part in this trial. Two threw the towel in straight away because of the work involved. City bent over backwards to get this fans trial on in the short time they were given. Seven other council's rubber stamped their clubs efforts including ,M'Boro in the middle of a Covid hotspot where infections rates are four times higher then they are in Hull.
Dress it up as you like but this decision by one person at HCC appears more about covering one's back then it does about public safety.
600 invited people in a 25,000 stadium ?? and its unsafe ? Come on.
Don’t think I assumed anything in that post, but I do assume that organisations that manage lots of things I see poorly tend to manage other things I don’t see poorly.
The only thing I’ve seen the club manage regarding covid is the email asking who you want to sit next to. That was handled poorly and still hasn’t been resolved, and we know for a fact given posts on here people have nominated people outside their households to sit with, which isn’t in line with guidance.
So yes...given I’ve seen that so far and haven’t seen them do anything related to covid well yet I do assume they won’t have done this well either.
Could be wrong of course but logical assumption

EDIT - I don’t think it’s about deciding who is to blame. They’ve met and decided not to take part in the trial. No big deal I don’t think. Having said that I’m not sure what a trial with 8 or 10 clubs will prove. Presumably they’re trying to check that they don’t get infection spread between households (if it spreads in your household you could hardly blame a club) but is 10,000 people enough for that? Might have been better for the Govt to say every club can open but only for 1000 people at first, and say how. Bigger number to get infection data from if there was a problem the Govt could decide what to do, and if it was ok maybe gradually increase the numbers?

Uncontrolled? How is people going to pubs, bars or restaurants uncontrolled? They all have to give details for track and trace?

But nobody would make you go if you felt uncomfortable about it , I'd prefer to be treated as an adult and make the decision myself
based on my own circumstances

At some point we have to get on with life

Just back from pub.
Very well controlled
Yes you have to give details for track and trace.
City might have been well organised too, but we don’t know unfortunately (also it would be a first!)

Exactly my point, pubs etc are very well controlled, asterix had said they where uncontrolled for some unknown reason

Because the only three pubs I have been in have not asked for my details. I do believe that comes under the definition of uncontrolled. Don't blather on about well they should have done. They just didn't.

I think you’re supposed to ring Priti Patel and dob them in

I thought you was done?

"without anything to back that up at all" - your turn.

One persons decision? Are you sure?
Why do you think it would be safe?
**** hits the fan. A positive covid result. Test and trace contacts everyone at the game and tells them to self isolate. You ring your employer with the joyous news to inform him you won't be at work for two weeks. And then contemplate the next two unpaid weeks wondering if it really was such a good idea to watch City.
I've got plenty to back it up but I cannot/will not divulge it on here. Besides no-one would believe me anyhow.
Anyhow it's passed now, you can sleep tight tonight knowing that no-one caught the virus at the empty KC today.
But if you are worried about catching something don't go anywhere near Walton Street tomorrow. No-one getting named and traced there, no limits on the numbers either or questions which part of the country you have come from. So more chance of you ringing your employer if you visit the market tomorrow with the joyous news that you wont be at work for 2 weeks.
Had my joyous news for today.
Hull City top of the league.

Don't put everyone off mate....I was kind of hoping that someone would sensibly,2 metres apart, mask on,get me one of these programmes that could prove to be a collector's item in days to come.

Hull City v Crewe the programme printed for the fans that never went?
