I find it hard to have a pop at them if I’m not personally there, it doesn’t look great but they pay their money so it’s their choice I guess, I always stay personally but I am a tight bastard so want my moneys worth, although fair to question my sanity when I stayed to the end of the Blackburn 5-1 last year :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Whats the craic then? Please tell me why/who does it?

Its embarrassing and we have now reached national headlines after such a dramatic finish for doing so???

My lad txt me saying it's embarrassing. He stayed, got home 02:20
I've been to games with him where we have left 5 minutes early <laugh>

He's young and it's his opinion.
I've left when we were shìt under Grayson etc and been losing 3-0 etc
The 4 ish hour trip becomes a chore after that. :(

Considering the attendance we get, there's bound to be a few leaving early. .

Just looked and here is an interesting link.

Reading between the lines. Attendance may have a big influence where people are worried about the queues afterwards.

We're not the only ones but it seems it's mostly big capacity games.

Obviously mag ****ers will read that thinking they're the best but they fill the ground with cheap tickets and they only stay because they've nowhere else to go the scruffy twáts.

People can attend and leave as they wish as paying customer.

Left at 94 mins myself. Was frustrated with the performance. Thought we were very poor. Missed the goal, but just fancied going to the boozer with my mates.

People saying it’s their choice to leave early, are missing the point. Of course they can leave whenever they want but do they get up and leave the cinema 5 minutes before the end of the film? I know that’s not quite a similar situation but you get the point.

I think one thing that affects it is how difficult it is to get away from the ground if you’re heading out to the A19. We use the park and ride and if you’re not in the queue for the bus early then you can have a long wait as the buses returning to the SoL get caught up in the traffic along Keir Hardie Way. We’ve waited nearly an hour for a bus on one occasion. If you’ve got a long journey home after that it’s a bit of a problem. So that has a bearing on it. However as others have said it doesn’t look good on TV and who knows what the players think and how it affects them.

I do find it interesting, that most of the time, people who are shouting about this type of stuff are not even at the game themselves. Not saying that's you btw but I have seen it across other platforms.

I can't understand why you'd want to leave early if there's only a goal in it. People who 'always' leave at 80 or 85 minutes and there are those that do won't ever see a last minute equaliser or winner which is the best part of going for me. It's up to them but I don't get it.

That was a class buzz at the end last night and took the wind out of Leeds - couldn't happen on a better night. Just imagine if you were walking away from the ground and hearing the roar that went up? :emoticon-0116-evilg

Yes it's their choice to leave early but it absolutely pi**es me off as I have an end seat and they completely block off the North 1/4 of the pitch spoiling my end of game experience. Not only that but they walk down slowly incase they miss anything. Then I'm like a jack in the box with those walking out in front of me. Rant over but have some consideration for those who remain.

They may just walk slowly down steps to stay safe but understand your frustration.

Don't leave early except when 5 down at Bolton had enough by then. Think the manager got the sack after game.

Can understand that like. Probably the worst actual result in the history of SAFC.

My earliest recollection of early leaving being daft was early 80s as a kid at Roker Park - 2-1 down against Arsenal and we got a penalty in injury time. The Fulwell end had been emptying and suddenly started to fill up again as those who'd been leaving turned round and ran back in when they heard the roar go up.

For the record Gary Rowell scored the pen iirc.
