Well the reports I read never mentioned the fact that old codger they did in had £5k in his pocket.

Just like pushing over walls in stadiums and crushing fans is a thing amongst all English fans.
How many Italian fans have pushd over walls and crushed fans whilst proclaiming how wonderful they are and every bit of trouble is caused by opposition fans?

Edit - I just got round to reading the link that you posted. I found the following paragraph of particular interest:

Bloke 'stabbed' was in fact Irish so probably not a Liverpool fan at all. I mean, why would you support from a club from another country ffs?
