No idea but a certain local reporter will be all over it in the morning I'm sure

It'll be a wet dream for him!

But seriously though, is it at home games? Away games? I really dislike these kind of statements that give absolutely zero info or context. It's just a broad statement that could cover anything anywhere. I've not done a great deal of games this season due to my operation but from the ones I have I've not seen or heard anything that would fall under that statement

Me neither and I don't think I ever have in my 25 years of going! Not saying it doesn't happen but there really needs to be more context given

Yes,it's very ambiguous but it could be specifically worded that way to deter almost anything?

Like a **** teacher or manager who feels the need to remind everyone, in as vague a way as possible so as not to spot ball anyone, not to behave badly instead of just ****ing getting on and dealing with the people that need dealing with.

Pathetic

Spot on.

As 'The Black n Amber' replied to the club's Twitter post .... "This just tarnishes the clubs image and the good match going fan…and not the people who have been doing the abuse online or in person. I don’t call them fans because they are not fans if they think (-) abuse is acceptable, NAME AND SHAME"

Not sure about 'name and shame' but absolutely just address the source, don't tarnish the club and supporters generally. At the very least, make it more specific.

This sort of vague statement really is no way to go about things. It's something you (should) learn very early in your career.

If, as they say, they can find whoever has done whatever they’re saying has been done and deal with them then what’s the point in the statement, just do it.

I don’t even know what the poor behaviour the club is addressing. Is it racist/homophobic/sexist chants? Abuse at police, stewards etc.? People doing cocaine in the toilets?

It’s very vague. Almost as vague as the Kesler announcement.

There was an increased security presence on the way into the North stand for the last home game. Sniffer dogs and pockets being checked where usually you can walk straight in. Presumably this is linked. As others have said though, I don't see what these vague statements are supposed to achieve. I wonder if the club have been pressurised by police/SAG/whoever to put something out. Can't see who it will influence though.

So ban them then
In fact ban them and then release a statement saying why they were banned and if needed be clear about what type of similar behaviour won’t be tolerated.

Much better than the ‘listen up class…some of you have been naughty and everyone must make sure they’re not naughty in the future otherwise you’ll be in trouble’ approach.
