well hes had enough practise saying it with safc, you would have been gutted if they had won though wouldnt you

Totally, I'd have been so gutted my gut would've been the size of Bruce's ......... fortunately they were beaten by a poor Arsenal side.

I thought the funniest thing was when they lost, until I saw Bruce take one look at those steps and take the lift <laugh>

You seem to be a bit of a Hull/Bruce fan Stu ............

nearly always the underdog supporter im afraid , apart from england

Anyone stupid enough to sit in a Hull City seat, celebrating Arsenal goals and wearing an Arsenal top deserves everything they get.

You telling me it wouldn't happen at a Sunderland game?

We get away fans in the home end quite often, I've sat near Boro fans who's celebrated when scored, they weren't assulted. We mix with away fans in our pubs before and after games too.

Edit: Also there were fans mixed in the league cup final. No reports of trouble. <ok>

Mixing with away fans in pubs before and after games is fine, it's the way it should be, but any fan who takes a seat from the other clubs allocation and openly supports them can't have any complaints if it ends up with him getting a slap.

I've sat in away ends at games, but I at least have the sense not jump wear a City shirt or jump up and down if we score.

Well I guess our fans and your fans have very different mentalities. Like I said, mixed fans in both ends throughout the league cup final. No reported trouble. <ok>

Normally I'd support the underdog in a final like that. But I couldn't bear the prospect of Bruce's fat face on the telly claiming "vindication" from his sacking by Sunderland. The fact that our results under him went down the pan faster than a pie-powered turd seems to be utterly lost on him. Plus they have that cheating twat, Meyler, so 'twas the Arse all the way for me.

Terrific final though...

Well I guess our fans and your fans have very different mentalities.

As they never fail to prove, every time they come on this board.

The people seem to be locked in some grimy past ironically maintaining the image people have of them.

They themselves seem to always be claiming to be what they're not as if they can't face reality ....
.... they're from Humberside but claim not be be, call their town after a small river and not it's proper name, they claim to be big rivals with Leeds United who don't give a toss about Hull and they claim to be a NE club when Sunderland is closer to Scotland than Hull.

Some mentality when you simply can't accept the truth, no wonder they all have a chip on their shoulder is it?
