Bruce has confirmed Fryatt will lead the line which is good to hear.

I was wondering when someone would point out that Graham is very unlikely to be available.

Left back seems the biggest hole to me. Perhaps it's Max Clark's time?

I just dont get this, I really dont. Are you suggesting they recall him and then desperately want him to lead an assault on their FA CUp charge? I'm pretty sure Sunlan will be secretly hoping they get knocked out and can concentrate on keeping everyone fit and fresh for the massive challenge of staying up. And if they were going to recall him, wouldnt they have done it already? Why risk him helping us further by popping up with an unlikely winner at Anfield?

Recall him? I never said that. I just meant that they're unlikely to let us cup-tie him, in this round at least. They've got some injuries and won't want to rule anything out, even if they've not much interest in having him back right now.

Theyve got 3 options this month:

1) recall him to play him
2) recall him to sell / loan him elsewhere or
3) leave him with us.

You just said you didnt mean options 1 or 2 and if they choose option 3 then it doesnt matter if he's cup tied.

I thought you were talking in your first comment about them recalling him and playing him this weekend - but on reading it again I see you were talking in more general terms about a recall. I'm not totally ruling out a recall by them some time this month if they have injury problems and fail to buy someone else.

I just think they gain nothing and potentially lose something by letting us play him this weekend, so I don't expect them to do so. Of course, after January I can't see them being so small-minded as to prevent him playing in future rounds.

Phil Buckingham just tweeted

Danny Graham won't feature. Sunderland do not want him cup-tied. Jake Livermore, Curtis Davies & Allan McGregor will all be left at home too

Aaron Mclean and Cameron Stewart were back with #hcafc for training today. Set to be in the travelling squad to Middlesbrough.
