I'd be hugely surprised if we field many of our first XI vs 'Boro

Who is fit that might be considered?

Jak/Harper
Faye
Rosie
McShane?
Dudgeon?
Boyd
Quinn
Fryatt
Graham
+ ??

I hope this is not one of Bruces priorities this season

Not sure I'd risk Rosie Fryatt or Boyd - we need them as back up,and/or starters depending on formation.
Would put Graham in there to see if he can get more goals....... Prossie too (shop window) tho no one is going to buy/loan him unless theyre desperate, Quinn on late in the game to start his return......

V much doubt SB will be that bothered about the Cup - if it happens it happens but no point in chasing results

Our second XI is good enough to beat Boro. This team should win it. Good chance to rest the defence and MF.

Harper
Rosenior Faye McShane
Stewart (if recalled) or Elmo Quinn Meyler Cairney (if recalled) or Brady Boyd
Fryatt Graham/Proschwitz

Def a weakened team

Id play rosenior mcshane graham quinn and possibly boyd

Rest everyone else that has a big contribution in the first team

Harper
Rosenior - Faye** - Bruce - Townsend*
Jahraldo - Wilson - Henderson - Quinn
Proschwitz - Fryatt

* Is Townsend with us? His loan earlier in the season was 1 month wasn't it?
** I'm assuming McShane is out after his injury dropped him from the bench today.

McShane was in Ireland due to a family bereavement

Won't be Cairney or Stewart if they are being sold shortly, as rumoured. No point in cup-tieing them.

4-4-2
Harper
Rosenior (know he's first team but only played once in the last few weeks)
Dudgeon (if fit)
Faye
McShane
Quinn
Meyler (didn't play Fulham and around hour v Liverpool)
Boyd
Graham
Fryatt
Brady (if fit)

Subs: Jakupovic, Bruce, Gedo, Proschwitz, Townsend, Henderson, Jahraldo-Martin. Get some youth game time.

Guessing Hobbs, Cairney, McLean and Stewart can't be played due to us wanting to sell them and the playing for two teams rule.

Hobbs shouldn't be recalled unless we've got a sale already agreed.
Cairney you're right we shouldn't play due to the 2 clubs rule.
McLean and Stewart have already played for us so we don't need to worry about the 2 club rule. McLean can join anybody because his loan has been an emergency loan, Stewart can only join Charlton as his loan was long term.

In another thread someone said Townsend is cup-tied

Yep, played for Carlisle already.

I would imagine Sunderland will deny permission.
